Last year shortly before last year Cassidy Wolf was elected Miss Teen Usa 2013 and she was the most perfect of all and is blond descendant of Norwegians. Deserved win and never a contest was as fair as the #MTU2013 in my opinion. Now comes an idiot like you say the judges preferred the Brunettes? And Blondes, black, Asian (Because there's only one you have black blood Wasghington too), Redhead had no. Latina had blondes as: Texas, Brunettes like: California and Minnesota. Following my favorite Miss Teen Usa 2014: Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Texas and Utah are the most beautiful.

Honey, sometimes they don't crown a contestant with miss usa potential since the new rule that miss teen usa winners are not allowed anymore to compete at a state pageant for miss usa.

I understand. I'm in Miss California 2015 and its $1,750 for entry fee, $500 dollars for registration, and $80 for the opening dress. Not including paying for dresses and makeup and everything else.

J o n a t h a n That's extremely true. In the pageants I've done, there have been some really pretty girls, but the ones that always do the best are the ones that are the most well-rounded. The people who do well in the interview that morning and on the on-stage question tend to do the best. If it were otherwise, I would never do another pageant again.

All the girls were very well spoken but I think K. Lee was perfect. I've known her for quite a while and she is beautiful girl inside and out. All the Miss Teen USA's look older for their age. I do agree that Miss Mississippi Teen was a very pretty girl but I think the judges made the right choice! :)

K. Lee is just as beautiful as all the other girls! She doesn't look old for her age in my opinion. Besides, this competition is based on a lot more than just looks. K. Lee will be an AMAZING Miss Teen USA!

Agree…Mississippi was stunning! I think Mississippi will do quite well at Miss USA…congrats to the winner. South Carolina ALWAYS sends beautiful women that are always well prepared. Excellent top two!

reagen leigh I completely disagree. When she answered the on-stage questions, she was clearly the most well-rounded and she gave the best answers, even if she wasn't the prettiest. I definitely agree with the judge's decision.

bluengreen It's so much more than that, it's also teaching them confidence, poise, self-worth, public speaking, and so many other invaluable life skills. I myself have done two so far, I'm less than a week from my third, and I can honestly say that the person I am now has grown so much from the person I was three years ago. I credit that solely to the pageants I've done.

Natalie Johnston I would have to respectfully disagree. Prancing around in swim suits in front of grown men does not teach you self worth. Instead it perpetuates sexist stereotypes, and objectification of women. Treating women like objects by assigning a number to their looks and personality does not teach you confidence. What it actually does is creates a pressure for young girls to become what society has defined as attractive and like able. Why don't we teach young girls not to value themselves based on what number a judge gives them under a certain category, but who they truly are. Why don't we teach young girls to love who they are, not create a system which forces young girls to change and pervert themselves to become valuable.

Hera Williams I do understand your point, and I do think it's relevant to pageants such as in Toddlers In Tiaras, but that's not how they all are. What the USA directors try to instill is that winning doesn't matter, it's all about trying your best and taking as much as you can from the experience. I used to be extremely shy and lacking completely in confidence. When I learned that there's nothing wrong with embracing myself as I am, that's when I lost my fear of public speaking and I wasn't afraid to show myself to the world. My first year, I didn't place, and I got 3rd place for the past two years, and I don't feel like there's anything wrong with me. Different day, different judges. It's all subjective. Plus, you should note that the judges are both men and women, and the swimsuit portion isn't designed to measure how sexy the girls are, it's meant for judging physical fitness and personality. You should also note that all these girls won their state pageant first, and they're definitely not all size 00. I don't think they force them all to try to be supermodels, they're just trying to find a strong representative of the USA. And sure there's a bit of fun in all the glamor, but I can sincerely tell you that one of the biggest motivations for girls to even sign up is the scholarships and representation opportunities. If you still feel that this is all wrong, I respect your opinion, but if you dislike pageants this much it's a good thing you don't have to compete in any. Let those who enjoy it do their thing.

+Hera Williams Donning a swimsuit is like a power suit for beautiful girls. It absolutely teaches them confidence because you need confidence to pull it off and look sexy while doing it. Plus they have to be fit. These girls are role models for all the other girls out there.

And, on top of that, if a woman wants to show her body, who's to limit her? They are only sexualized when they are perceived that way. I'm so tired of society shaming us for deciding to wear shorts or a low cut shirt or a bikini, but then drooling over Carl's Junior commercials and letting men run around completely shirtless. Does it look like these girls "don't love themselves"? They aren't trying to subject themselves to judgment, they are simply trying to take advantage of a fantastic opportunity to represent the title of Miss Teen USA.
