quick video on how to replace the head unit in a Mitsubishi Mirage. The Mirage's blu tooth system is independent from the stereo itself, replacing the stereo will not restrict blu tooth functions
Welchen Adapter hast du hergenommen? Ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher, welchen von diesen Tausend Adapter ich verwenden soll und welcher passt. MfG Samuel aus Bayern ;) !
Thank you so much for this video. I just bought a better Radio for my Mitsubishi, now i know how to remove the old one without destroying the car. Thumbs up and abo for your Channel.
Florian Schumacher it's a great car, you might need to look into a rear sway bar though, feels a bit scary at highway speed 😉. other than that, it's been a gem
It should not feel scary at highway speeds. Best check your wheel alignment. That is off most of the time in the Mirage, unfortunately. Also unfortunately, the rear axle cannot be adjusted, so you will need a replacement axle if it is out of spec.
Yeah, if you drive in a strait line you should be able to take your hands off the steering wheel without it drifting off to the left or right. Another sign of poor alignment is under even tire wear. If the tires are worn out just on one side of the tire then you may have an alignment issue.(this method isn't as exact though)
got the same model mirage.. the radio works fine, and connected my phone, but there is no bluetooth voice commands coming up of the radio, it can hear me, but no sound comes out from voice commands or calls ... I've heard this could be a known problem, i bought the car off my daughter and its not under warranty anymore, do you know, can i replace or repair the bluetooth system so voices can be heard do you know ?
Hello @joshua vaipulu. So, Bluetooth keeps working, however we loose the ability to see the number of who is calling us, correct? Or is it possible to have Bluetooth connected to both devices (to the new head unit and to the OEM Bluetooth system) at same time? Can I assume that you are saying that even "without the head-unit" we are able to receive and make calls using the car roof microphone and car speakers? Hope you can help me with this question. Thanks in advance.
Great question! No sir, we purchased the base model with the intent of putting a new head unit in. if you have steering wheel controls that you'd like to retain, you'll have to get another conversion harness.
Nice video man, may I ask what's the size of the screen you got? You have any measurements of the frame as well? I got a space star 2014 myself and I was wondering what kind of screen I can install
ok, so I'm been looking online, virtually everywhere, & I'm having a hard time finding the correct mounting kit/ install kit. I have a 2017 & I'm assuming they're the same. what was the model number on the one in your video?
OfficialHopelost9 are you using the Bluetooth function to play music? if you are, the sound through bluetooth is optimized for phone calls, not music. that was the driving force behind updating the stereo, now i can stream audio that takes full advantage of the sound system
joshua vaipulu I don't have Bluetooth on it sadly. I think I just need to upgrade the speakers and amp, haha. my old car had an aftermarket one I just found out
kinda, the blue tooth is stand alone. it wont function through the new head unit, it will work independently. the other, controls will still control the stereo
I'm a college student looking to buy this car and I've heard people saying that it is scary to drive...I'm really worried about this...do u think it is??
No, I drive it every day and it drives great. I'd definitely buy it again. What makes the car "scary", is its low weight, and small size. If youre not used to driving a small car you might not feel as firm in your driving experience. My last car was a toyota echo, so crossing over was a snap, but if I was driving an suv or large sedan it might feel less sure. What was your last car?
Only scary if you decide to drive at top speed on the highway. Stick to the speed limits on the highway and it's very easy. If you live somewhere with snow/ice in the winter, buy a set of winter tires. I bought a second Mirage for my wife, we love these cars so much.
Eddie Alvarez I bought mine from eBay, but here's a link for you www.crutchfield.com/p_120957016/Metra-95-7016GHG-Dash-Kit.html?tp=3121&awkw=75719472145&awat=pla&awnw=g&awcr=48383981065&awdv=m&awug=9023446 they are also available at best buy online
