The 62nd Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida was the second race for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and the second round of the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup.
thx for the saturday livestream & thx for the quick upload imsa ;) 5h of SC....pffiuuu.... almost the half of the race amputated, ok, be safe is important, but it is not acceptable imo...
Love these builds, been here since the beginning and I absolutely take my hat off to what youve achieved... That said, as an electrical engineer it pained me to see you using scotch locks on a rolls 😂 😆
Thanks for the fast upload...hope this is a trend for future races!!! I watch some of it on Saturday via the stream, but it's tough to sit and watch 12 hours when other things need to be done. Now I get to watch it at my own pace!
i gave up watching after the first safety car period lost complete intrest in the race. Compared to last years race this years was boring as hell to many caution periods which dragged on for much longer then necessary. When i did watch the original live stream that day it was mostly under yellow zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sod that.
Damn I miss those Vipers. It is a shame they didn't sell better. Hopefully FCA decides to race the Giulia once it goes on sale. That would be a good replacement.
Thanks for the fast upload guys. A big fan of the old ALMS and Grand-Am and just as big of a fan of the Tudor USSC. Very good to see the cars that equal in speed and when (not if) the safety periods get fixed it will be the best series out there.
I've been looking for good sports car races to watch during the pandemic. Once more, after watching open wheel, I've fallen in love with, as Carol Shelby would say "Sport Car" racing. IMSA and WEC on youtube give me my fix. This video is a great hi-res watch. Thank you!
I love the raceing and I love the fact that you have 4 classes on the racetrack at same time tudoor plese bring you show to Edmonton I attended the indy races with my dad I loved the nascar and the enthuse gt but I could not get behind the indy cars
yikes at 3:36:40! anyone remember the crash during last years 24hrs of le mans? it was during the night, one of the Lmp cars went into the barrier in the porsche curves and was completely split in half. the driver walked away uninjured. it's amazing how safe these cars actually are. have that happen in ANY road car and you are almost guaranteed to die.
They should all be disqualified…… not one Chrysler Seabring in the whole race. But it would be annoying to have to push one of those pieces of junk around the track.
Haven't seen the race so watching it on here and a lot of craziness for the early stages! Ferrari taking cars out AGAIN, PC guys all having problems and somehow, those GT Americas are the loudest Porsches i've ever heard, they scream!
wow, a lot of shit talkers in the comments and i bet not one of them have ever set a tire of their own on a track or own a track. go back to watching nascar if you dont understand.
The fastest class (LMP1) was not brought to the new series, only LMP2 and LMPC was. For comparisons sake, 2013 overall pole (set by a LMP1 car) was nearly 10 seconds faster than this year's pole set by a DP, which was nearly a second slower than LMP2 pole from a year ago.
Because only Europeans think the Nordschleif is the undisputed test track. North Americans have their own contender, and unlike most American perceptions its actually legitimately a contender. Say what you will about the state of American motorsports, when it comes to tracks North America is loaded for bear.
BollocksUtwat No not only the Europeans. Every driver who raced on the Green Hell says that and YES even the US drivers do. The only ones who disagree with this are the ones which didn't raced on it. That's the reason why nearly all car manufactures test their cars in the Eifel. Sebring is more a test for wheel and suspensions, not for the car itself.
toarak I'm glad you've gone to the trouble of asking every driver who ever drove there. You must have a lot of spare time. The Green Hell has this thing... I'll call it the Nordschleif mythos. Its a big green monster thats easy to love, easy to bombast about. Car manufacturers use it a lot because its great PR. You little munchkins eat that shit up. OMG!@!@!@ IT WAS TESTED ON HE NURBURGRING!@!$(@))*($YDFOYWER)(E GASM GASM
A bunch of other less attractive older women determined that track girls (all voluntarily and happily employed of their own free will) needed to be fired and their livelihoods taken away. For.... Uh... Female Empowerment?
I have been to many sebrings and this one by far is the most amateurish many rookie mistakes and by far wayy to many yellows i think it has to to with there no longer being and American lemans circuit
Sebring is an embarrassment of a track compared to tracks around the world. Tear it up, resurface it and make it motorcycle safe as well. If it's safe enough for motorcycles, it's safe enough for anything. But this is a track owned by Nascar, so don't expect them to fix it up anytime soon. Get off your lazy ass and rebuild the track!!
Tear it up and start over. That "it has character" stuff it old news. Cars are way to advanced and cost to much money to be getting torn up by a track. When you have tracks like Circuit of the Americas and the redesign at Indy and all these new road courses being built, these old tracks better keep up or get left behind. If that was the case then why did they resurface Daytona? Truth is Nascar doesn't care about this track.
sbka boss Oh fuck COTA. That yawnfest is one good sector and two boring ones. Its pretty much the opposite of Sebring, totally boring to watch, and has so much run off its hardly worth not missing the corner. We're talking about endurance racing here. Not some stupid 2 hour sprint. COTA has all the charm of modern F1, as in none. Cars are too expensive to risk on a track that'll damage them? Why don't we just scrap the concept of endurance racing in general because 12 hours at Sebring, 24 hours at Le Mans or the Nordschleife or whatever it doesn't matter. The cars suffer attrition. You think anybody is going to take new tech to COTA to test bed its durability?
BollocksUtwat Please don't compare Sebring to LeMans. LeMans is a world class track with a world class racing surface. I didn't say get rid of Sebring, I said it needs to be resurfaced and to build in safety features to make it available to motorcycle racing. I believe that World Superbike would go there if it was a better and safer track.I'd bet money that more racers would chose to race at COTA over Sebring every day of the week. It needs a facelift, that's all I said from the beginning. You can hate COTA all you want, but that's where racing is going. Indy has done it and there are new road courses popping up all over the country.
Let me get this straight: 12 Hours of Sebring, and no LMP 1 or 2? You're kidding, right? So we traded cutting edge technology, drive systems, aerodynamics, fuel types and body styling for a Ford and a Chevy that have looked exactly the same for almost a decade? If you think that's better, then you need to look up the word "Better". .
I think everyone hates that there are no P1's here this year or petit le mans either but we've only had muscle milk and dyson in P1 for awhile and those P1's were pretty predictable. Rebellion occasionally ran some other races besides sebring and petit but their main focus is P1 in WEC in Europe. The P1 class is not going to move out of the WEC and come to north america only, unfortunately.
chris manecke No problem ...I wish they would though, I miss seeing the AUdi's and Peugeot before they stopped racing come here a few times a year. And now that Toyota has a pretty competitive car in P1 in WEC and Porsche is coming back to P1 in WEC, I really wish we could get a few races here with them in it. It's more sad than anything else.
iknowwazup Porsche wasn't quite ready enough to participate in this race, idk if they'll even compete at Spa. Even if they let P1 into this race, the field is so big that i doubt they'd risk tearing up their cars in traffic, especially since the PC guys can't stay out of trouble lol
I agree. We could have had Porsche, Audi and Toyota but no, these things...blurgh. I wander if the DPs will go to Le Mans. If they do then theyll be put to their positions by the superior P1s
