Great info..thanks. I've got an 05 KQ (also Banana camo) with 14000 km and a 60" Moose County... I am still on the original belt :) Keep posting videos... cheers from Kenora NQ Ont Canada
Mine is doing exactly what you described only stays running with throttle pressed as soon as it goes to idle it stall out immediately. will have to get it out of the shed and into the garage and try this. Thanks
I just pulled a C40 code on my 09 KingQuad had the light come on few weeks ago wasn't sure what it was thought maybe rad was overheating. Sprayed it out good and light went off. Back on a week later. And on and off. Found out last week how to check the code so just had to wait until the light came back on to read it. I'm wondering if its also a spliced wire now. Thanks for the video
I know this is an old video. But do you still have the king quad? I just got one 2008 750. And love it. I also live in southern Ontario. Grimsby. And have a place in Dorset. Small world:)
I'm curious to know, I got the hard start ( with a bit of throttle starts right up, sometimes idles. Then just cuts out. But when im on the gas it runs flawless.) but... never got any codes or lights. I'm kinda aiming at the idle air control valve. But now I know the wires could be an issue. The no codes is what makes it curious. Great video
Good video! I have an 05 KQ 700. Not many issues with it except having to adjust the throttle position sensor. ATM it seems as though the battery is losing charge when I'm using it for hauling wood. By the end of the day it starts stalling. The battery will charge fine over night and hold the charge if I don't ride but doesn't seem to be charging in use. It might be the regulator/rectifier or the stator. I hope it's not the stator because that seems more expensive and more of a pain to get at. Btw- anyone else with king quad know why the reverse indicator light on the LCD display will go blank? Usually after a couple trips with wood or 30mins of snow plowing it will go blank when shifting into reverse. Doesn't seem to effect anything. Is it an overheating issue or warning?
Have you tied into the ground wire coming off the regulator and tie it to the motor and frame? They have a bad grounding on the bike not allowing the full charge to be put back into the battery.
@@jonsavant9971 I will have to look into it now that things have slowed down. I plan on trying to diagnose the charging system whether bad battery, bad ground or bad stator or regulator/rectifier. If I am able to get to the bottom of it I will update here.
I have a 2011 kingquad 750 axi. It seems to be doing the same thing that you described your was doing, rough idle stalls runs for a bit the stalls again or won’t start. I don’t have the code c40 however. Any ideas
Yes it was the injector. It was clogged up. Easy fix put compressor to it and blew it out and put everything back together and she fired up and ran better than before it broke
Can anyone help me. I have a 2008 KQ 450. I tried the paperclip trick and it doesnt do anything, doesnt bring up the -COO or anything. The wheeler does have an aftermarket ecu, would that provent it from going into diagnostic mode?
Mine wouldn’t start got new battery won’t start. Put in old battery ( after all night charge ) and it ran. Got it back in the swamp won’t start . Jump it & got almost home & the ( EPS ) light flickers and it died. Any one help me out. Does the eps thing a. Code. I’m lost HELP
