I just did this job. I found that it was relatively easy to do it with the tensioner pulley removed. I was doing both at the same time. Tensioner pulley is left hand thread if you decide to do this. Reinstalling the pulley from the bottom, you don’t need to loosen the AC lines but it’s easiest to have a helper lift the pulley into position and then you can line up the bolt and tighten from the top. 14mm shallow socket on a 3/8 ratchet is all you need.
Thanks for this video! We also have a 2017 sienna, bought new and now has 94k miles, the last couple hundred miles we have been hearing a rattling coming from the belt area. Trying to diagnose if it’s the pulley, idler, or water pump. Like you described almost like a loose timing chain. I need to fix it asap I feel the noise has gotten worse. Any help or tips would be great!! Thank you
@@mamatabb4465 yes. Is the same noise. You water pump need to be replaced. Stop driving. Please. Any question leave here I will do my best to help you 😃😃😃
@@1Wayfix thanks for your quick reply! To confirm, this video was addressing the idle pulley that was making the noise? Or did you also change your water pump?
