2. Valvoline MaxLife Multi-Vehicle Full Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid (x5 Gallons)
Tools Needed: 3/16 Hex, 15/16 In, 14 mm, & 12 mm.

00:11 - 07:32 1. Drain Transmission Fluid From The Pan & Unbolt Transmission Pan.
07:32 - 10:04 2. Unbolt The Old Transmission Filter.
10:05 - 16:29 3. Clean Transmission Pan & Magnets & Prepare Gasket.
16:30 - 21:09 4. Install The New Transmission Filter.
21:10 - 25:13 5. Bolt In Transmission Pan.
25:14 - 29:19 6. Prepare Drain Tube For The Flush.
29:30 - 38:05 7. Fill Transmission With ATF ( 1 ).
38:06 - 39:33 8. Start The Car To Start The Transmission Pump.
39:33 - 42:37 9. Fill Transmission With ATF ( 2 ).
42:38 - 44:17 10. Start The Car To Start The Transmission Pump.
44:18 - 46:46 11. Fill Transmission With ATF ( 3 ).
46:47 - 47:35 12. Start The Car To Start The Transmission Pump.
47:35 - 47:51 13. Flush Complete.
47:51 - 50:05 14. Reconnect Transmission Fluid Return Hose.
50:06 - 53:21 15. Fill Transmission With ATF ( 4 ).
53:22 - 57:12 16. Start The Car To Cycle The Fluid.
59:16 - 01:06:27 17. Start The Car & Let The Fluid Cycle For 10 Minutes.
01:06:30 - 01:09:54 18. Open Up The Overflow Tube & Drain The Excess ATF.

You need to check the fluid level WHILE THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING!

This is wrong... you need to have the vehicle level to add the correct amount of fluid... I see the front raised tires, not the ones in the back

At the end for level of the oil should be car running.

Question: at the 39 minute mark you started the car and more fluid came out. Was that the remaining old fluid?

Yes, I don't recommend running the trans until it runs dry like he did at 39 min mark. I've also read that removing ALL of the trans fluid on an older trans can cause it to start slipping.

@@onenikkione The idea is you don't remove all of it. The goal is to exchange it, meaning as old fluid is removed new fluid is added. I think he may have overfilled it a bit to much before removing the fill plug to set the level, that was a lot of extra fluid in there for 10 minutes while he brought it up to Temperature. My underside is bone dry so I know I don't have any leaks so I measure what comes out and then put that back in. I think they sell transmission fluid air fresheners at AutoZone for those that really love the smell by the way. just use one of those and you don't have to smear the interior with old Transmission fluid. unless maybe he prefers it over Armor All?
