There is no shame in adding non Taekwondo elements here. This is an opening ceremony-c'mon it's entertainment! It's not all the seriousness of Taekwondo; there's also a fun side to it. Kudos to these performers for all the time and effort they gave for a wonderful performance. High fives to you all!
Wonderful taekwondo demonstration!! I ever seen. or could be taekwondo show. I love it!! Don't forget as it is titled opening ceremony NOT serious demonstration. Great work guys!!
In korean, it's not a scream: it's gi-hap. Gi means power and Hap means joined. Long story short, it helps release tension that they're holding in, provides more focus, and just looks fearsome.
Honestly, this whole dance routine just embarrasses Tae Kwon Do as a whole and I'm not a TKD hater, I have been practicing the martial art for 11 years.
This is a disgrace to Taekwondo. You'd think out of all people, Koreans would be trying to improve the image of TKD worldwide. I guess they think this martial art is some kind of joke... You're doing it WRONG World Taekwondo Federation.
