Up the power and sound of your S550 with the addition of the Stainless Works Long Tube Headers coming in either a catted or off-road version.

Boosts Performance. If you own an S550 GT and have done some bolt-on mods, but are looking for even more power, these Stainless Works Long Tube Off-Road/Catted Headers are something to consider. They can increase horsepower and torque output considerably. By removing the restrictions found in the stock headers, including widening the diameter of the tubes, these long tube headers speed up exhaust flow. Stainless Works has made a reputation for its headers, which is the main focus of the company, meaning you can trust these perform and last well. These long tube headers are designed to fit on all 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustang GT models. Made Durable. These long tube headers are constructed out of 304 stainless steel, with a natural finish. The tubing features mandrel bends for smooth interior walls, and measures 1-7/8 inches in diameter for excellent flow. There are two versions of these headers: one with catalytic converters, and one without, which is intended for off-road use only. Difficult Installation. Like other long tube headers, these are difficult to install, making it a great job to hand off to a shop. The process involves removing a number of major components on the car, and requires quite a few tools. If you do take this on yourself, plan on it taking a full day to wrap up.

Bought these from you two weeks ago. Installed them this weekend on jack stands. The install was not fun and it took me a while. However, the new exhaust tone with my Gibson exhaust is outstanding!

honestly for that type of money I'd get everything with borla so basically I'd be interested in going that route, sorry plus they have the same Warranty TO... well I think?

Is there any way to get the catted version and then buy the off road pipes or vise versa because I'm looking to run the Offroad set up but I'm in Texas so I need catalytic converters to pass inspection so every inspection i would simply throw the cats on there..

Hmm, tempted between this and the kooks for my 15

+2011FordMustangGTCS That's a tough choice as they are both SICK Exhaust systems! I run SW personally and could not be happier. That being said, between those two it really is all personal preference! - Will

AmericanMuscle.com I'm leaning more towards the kooks headers because I have used them before on previous mustangs. I'll have to figure something out for the emissions though because of where I live.

SW doesn't provide a gasket because you reuse your stock gasket. If that bothers you. You can always run down to a ford dealer an pick up a set of gaskets. I have these headers and their exhaust system. No big deal nothing to worry about NOT an issue.

+STANGTHECOYOTE Personally, when I'm tackling an install as complex as this the last thing I want to do is pull it back apart again due to an exhaust leak because I cheap'd out and reused gaskets. Its my job to give my honest review, so when companies like Kooks and American Racing ARE including brand new gaskets- its something I'm going to point out. And ultimately I said- "not a huge deal". ;) -Justin

Stainless Works or Kooks? Tough choice. Is there a reason to chose one over the other?
@americanmuscle
@americanmuscle 8 лет назад
+KWRSV You really can't go wrong with either. The stainless works are a true 'long' tube header meaning the primaries are slightly longer than the kooks which are sometimes considered more of a 'mid-length' header. Traditionally a longer primary will put a bigger focus on torque production below the peak torque of your rpm range, while shortening the primaries will have the opposite effect. Another big differentiating factor is that the Kooks header does include their patented 'scavenger spike' which they say helps increase exhaust velocity- and that's the big goal when adding any "performance" headers/exhaust system. Ultimately both options will do a great job and both are built EXTREMELY well- Again, you really can't go wrong either way. Hope this helps! :) -Justin
