With my 20” Shelby aftermarket wheels, I put these calipers on my 07 GT500. Used the 13/14 GT500 rotors and the brake hoses. Had to make some minor adjustments but they have been on for 2 years and love them
Hello Is it possible to install a brake caliper with appropriate discs on the rear axle, such as on the front axle, a 6-piston Brembo for a 2020 Mustang?
Great video! I just installed the same set on my Ecoboost premium base model 2019. I noticed the brake line has one metal bracket in the middle. Did you connect it to somewhere or left it dangling? Also the line is a bit longer than stock line. Do you think there will be a problem?
The brake lines are designed for a car with Magneride which has an extra bracket for the brake line. I removed it after the video was shot to be safe but it really shouldn't be an issue.
Looks good though I wish Ford would let us choose caliper color from the factory. Which leads me to ask where Ford/Brembo get them colored? Who's the top powder coating(calipers) guy in the United states? Anyone? Thanks.
Can the complete Brembo brake kit: Ford perfomance M-2300-YBK be installed or retrofitted, on Daytona coupe FFR with ADVAN Racing RS-DF Progressive 18x10 +35 5x114.3 front wheels and ADVAN Racing RS-DF Progressive 18x11 rear wheels? + 15 5x114.3? Although the kit features mid shafts, I am going to install Ford Performance M-4130-MA mid shafts to it and also Ford Performance Wheel Hubs W/ ARP Wheel Studs Kit Front/ Rear Mustang 2015-2024 CJ's Part Number: FPHSK1, and Ford Performance Differential Housing Super 8.8" Loaded Iron With 3.55 Gears 2015-2024 M-4001-88355B. I would like to mount this kit since the Daytona coupe will have 700HP 650ft-lb power. I am in the middle of construction, so there is nothing to remove, just place. Thanks for your time.
I'm trying to figure out if this will fit my non PP 2018 Ecoboost that currently has 20inch wheels. The description says it won't fit 2015-2017 non PP EcoBoosts, but idk about 2018. Do I need to get anything additional for it to fit?
No brake clean on fresh rotor or reason why these did not require can see grease from fingers on front at end of video? Recommend anti rattle clips, grease and pads loaded in bracket before bolting to car (in reference to rear brakes), although if grease is carefully applied as to not touch rotor this order of operations works.
So I can't get a straight answer from my local Ford dealer...I have a 2020 GT California Special (GT premium w/19 wheels) and my brother has a 2019 Bullitt... He wants to give me the rear brakes from his Bullitt and I can buy the front part of the kit from Ford using his VIN #, since I don't need an entire kit(Ford dealer won't order individual pieces without that number)....BUT Ford can't tell me if the Bullitt brake kit will easily bolt up on a non PP GT. Maybe it's just our dealer so any advice would be appreciated!!
although I already have Brembos on my 15 gt pp when it comes time for new brakes I’m just gonna splurge and get these. My car is black on black and the red would look sick!
DFY Done that before in the past it never comes out right. rather just spend the cash and get oem results. cant find a shop in my area that’ll just paint my calipers for a price than buying a kit.
I have a 2020 Mustang GT base. I'm about to just paint my calipers with G2 paint for $100. A lot of people complain about the Brembo brake dust and squeal.
What would I need to add these on my 2017 base ecoboost, I do have 19inch rims on the car. What would I need to upgrade to have this kit fit? Thank you
Most 19 in wheels will clear the Brembo brakes. I don't know what wheels you have so I cannot say for sure. IF they will fit a Performance Pack GT they will clear these.
I'm not a mechanic, but I believe the brakes are redundant on 2 different systems. Bleed the front and see what happens. If the brakes are spongy, then redo, starting with the backs.
@@Jay6.2 Is this overkill for a v6? I have an ecoboost and considering these because I do canyon runs and my 4 piston has fades after about a half hour. Also, the cooling design for the rotors is accurate, the cooling on the v6 and ecoboost (vanes) are designed backwards.
