so glad I watched this install video. the other U Tube install guy wanted me to jack up the car and remove a dozen bolts and the shield then drain the radiator... something about bleeding the system? .... wtf.
Besides Mishi, Moto radiators, I heard Adler radiators is also making a performance radiator for the Gt350. Have you ever tested them out to see what is better?
What an event! Whoever at Ford decided to use THOSE clamps should be run off! Notice the type of needle nosed pliers used in the video? As used in oh I don't know maybe an operating room? GET THOSE!!!! Normal run of the mill needles are virtually useless. Would've been nice not to have breezed over the vent tube, oh yeah stick this on. Just make sure this 18" long tube doesn't get caught in any of the belts on the front of your engine. Also, the supplied mounting bolts with my kit weren't 7mm or 10mm, nice huh? Man those clips were BRUTAL. I cut the bottom hose, it was that bad. Be sure to plug those hoses. Don't think being careful is enough. I used a couple of .40 cal rounds, perfect fit. Still made one hell of a mess. Looks good, still isn't finished, should've been much much easier. This tank and hood struts, really Ford?
@@Austin_Powa yea I saw another video just now that put it next to windshield fluid reservoir. I wouldn't think a hose would just be dangling to nothing but🤷🏽♀️
Here is a tip that helped me A LOT. Before loosening any clamps, or opening up the cap on the expansion tank (make sure the system is closed), spray the clamps with a tiny bit of WD-40. The two small clamps up top are no big deal but the angle on the larger/lower clamp was tough for me (especially if you don't have an extra set of hands). That small bit of lubricant made it easy as heck.
My 2000 f150 lightning rad and inter cooler tank are both the same plastic design as the stock mustang ones and after 18 years of being a daily driver with over 100k miles and 116 degree summer days here in central cali that is not the issue. The plastic ones will never fail unless you force them too... some people hate this stock tank for some odd reason but prefer to put this ugly peanut butter looking welds overflow tank in their stangs and call it better over stock???? I swear Bill could sell shit on a stick and say it looks better on your stang and people would throw money at CJ pony parts and buy it!
