+Zack Salter If you notice, Chevy does not promote this car much if at all.

+toyoscio I know, and yet it still sells very well. Just like Ford doesn't promote the Fiesta, it just sells. lol.

+Zack Salter it's a Mazda 2 but with 200+lbs of extra weight,because Ford went cheap and decided not to use a high percentage (slightly more expensive)lighter weight/higher tensile steel. Only thing that separate the Scion version,Fiesta,Mazda versions...........each make in the North American Market gets "exclusive" usage of a particular body-style. 35% + of all Fords are dumped (many times at a loss/break even) to Fleet,Rental, and Government..............vehicles USA buyers don't want in the 1st place....because the Japanese offer so much better....and to a lesser extent the lower price Korea stuff. But then again, the Koreans dump quite a bit onto the Rental field to

I'm 16, work hard and I'm about to put a down payment for a 2015 Ls model, does it run well? I'm really looking forward to getting this. It's been a really long debate over the Sonic or the Cruze.

+Destiny Farris It runs very well and the gas mileage is very good. I'm averaging around 32 to the gallon right now on it. I would suggest getting the Sonic over the Cruze. It saves you money and being a 16 year old you need to save as much as you can.

Is really good? My friend doesn't know wether to get the sonic or the soul. He loves them both but he doesn't know what he wants. I recently bought a Chevy Malibu because my son needed a car, to travel so I bought him a Malibu. I am thinking what to buy my daughter when she will need it. But that is 3 years from now. I'm 39 my son is 17, and my daughter is 14.

Golden Lantern if its her first car go with civic or corrolla. Guaranteed reliability.

bug512 u got lucky.........it's a Daewoo (Spark,Aveo,Sonic) are just slightly disguised-re-skinned Obsolete Platforms like the Daewoo Lanos and Suzuki Cultus. Daewoo (GM Korea) engineers/builds some of the worst cars in the World......calling it a car is a stretch to begin with...........Daewoo means Absolute Garbage.................10 times worse than even the Jalopy stuff the Hyundai-Kia Group sells to the low-end of the consumer brains market............just like Daewoo Garbage.

Johnziah Roberts turbo’s add strain to the engine, not sure why you’d want to add a turbo into the sonic. The car is made for commuting, mpg, so if you add a turbo you need to retune.. have it done professionally or you’re gonna have a weird result lol

@@davidwade7681 no I don’t. The car has a lot of overheating issues which hurts other parts but it hard to maintain when it doesn’t a temperature gauge.

@@trinityopp6778 yup I test drove one yesterday and I was looking for a temperature gauge well no wonder I couldnt find it. The car started smoking overheating it was losing fluid on a test drive I really like the car well I sure wont be buying it then bunch of trash thank youu

Actually it's not that bad. I test drove it. The turbo is amazing for a good price. Take back what I said

ACEcolorado1 I have the 1.8 and it's no rocket but it's refined enough for a b-seg mill. It's an 8.8 sec car... the 1.4T is a tick quicker at 7.7 sec. It's peppy enough for me... smoother than you'd expect. And compared to other b-segs it's not lacking at all. The motors are much better in the Sonic than the heavier Cruze.

Trevrz1 Yeah. I have a 1.8L and I also get 8.8 - 9.1 all the time STOCK. It's a nice little car, to me it's the best in the sub-compact segment. It just seems sportier, even though the Fiesta has a rocket ST with 197 HP which is quicker. GM instead should of used the Cobalt's 2.4L with an upgraded transmission, or even the 2.0T from the Cobalt. It would be a much better car in it's segment. But props to the 1.4T it's really good on gas, and gets a second chopped off because of the torque.

I had an Aveo and now have a Sonic, the Sonic is much better

The heat is EXCELLENT on this car! We also have heated seats.

The Cruz is nice but it’s heavier and thus less dependable than the Sonic

Cruze doesn't come in a hatch back. I prefer the sonic for all that cargo space. Plus it's lighter, faster, and gets better mileage
