If you're like me and you don't like all the chrome and luxury details, this is the CUV for you! Congrats on being the first to review a U.S.-spec Trax! (:
Just want to point out that the Trax is not a mash up of the Encore and Equinox only due to the fact it has been on sale in other markets before being introduced in the US.
steven lavely True, just like the cruze was in Europe well before the US, I believe a year or two before and it was such a success that they released it here.
Cameron The Rest Of The Competitors Of 2015 Is The Jeep Renegade And In 2016 Are The Upcoming Fiat 500X Mazda CX-3 And Honda HR-V Because Honda Lauched It Last Month At The L.A Auto Show
I don't think it's boring looking at all and that is subjective so you should leave those comments out of your reviews. I see you use it for other vehicles as well. Just give the specs., thats all, and comparisons to other vehicles features. We all have different taste. I also feel this is a youthful looking vehicle, because there are 4 of these in my neighborhood and all owners are in their early to mid 20's.
+USFanLovesMinHo Lol, Consumer Reports blasted this car for being slow, noisy and uncomfortable, not for a long drive at all. Out of 100 it scored a low 55.
Thanks for the review. I'm let down by how bland the interior looks. The interior of my 2014 Malibu has more flavor. It's especially bland when compared to the Mazda CX3.
That's all the fuel economy numbers are ?? For that little engine.. look at the most recent honda crv eco numbers. And then look at the performance numbers and cargo. This trax is expensive for what you get, I saw one in person... they wanted just under $27000 at my dealer. I could get a crv awd ex for that..
Flindo BK Cool thanks, because I drove one as a rental and loved it....but Chevy gas consumption and reliability scare me. I did read that it has excellent crash rating. I went to a dealer and saw all the Trax in the back because they were being recalled =( scares me a bit lol. Thanks for the information.
Oh wow. I didn't know they recalled trax. Thanks for inform . But yeah. Trax is not really popular here in US maybe because it's small SUV. I bought it because it's only for me and my 9yo son.
I drove this for a few weeks as a rental. It made me want to buy it. I'm a tall woman and I need to feel like I can breathe in a car this had good room I love how it drove very smooth and easy to park. However, like every Chevy I owned it was horrible with gas. I live in LA and we commute all the time we drive a lot in LA so that is a major concern. I feel that because it has so many cheap, low quality items in the interior it is over priced for the quality. Also Chevys gave a horrible resale value. I might buy one if I can find it at a lower price than its offered on the lot.
USFanLovesMinHo Well vinyl and leather is easy to clean, which is practically the only upside to it.. Would the leather stick to you if you weren't wearing clothes? That seems like a dumb question to others though.
What the heck was chevy posting when they designed this? Steering wheel from the cruze (a very nice car) and dash and insteument cluster from a chevy sonic? Ughhh
N2LADIES55 Honda is a good brand but I prefer the CRV. With that said, the Chev Trax has an excellent crash test rating which speaks volumes in how well built a vehicle is. I like they way it looks and if someone wants more luxury, then there is the Buick Encore.
***** I agree, but then I feel that all crossover/mini/compact SUV's are more feminine. I call them a woman's SUV which is why all the females in my family have one by different brands - Mitsubishi Outlander Sport with the 2.4 ltr. engine, Toyota RAV4,, Buick Encore, Honda CRV and we each love our vehicles. My husband has the Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4 which is very nice but too large and bulky for me.
