2015+ Colorado and Canyon steering wheel cover removal and squeak/tick fix 

Sweet Jesus thank you!!! this has been driving me nuts, took my Colorado back to the dealer and they basically told me "thats the way it is, its not gonna change"

I've 2015 Colorado and went for the piece of cardboard right between and didn't had to pop out the cover. Now that I've seen how to, I will try to fix it. thanks for sharing.

Absolutely ridiculous to have to do this on a brand new vehicle. I have a 2016 All Terrain and it is garbage. I'll never buy GM again.
