i personally disagree with the hate going on of the exterior design. i went to a car show today and saw a '70 challenger and the team did a great job of replicating the tail lights of that year, but they modernized it a little bit and i think it looks awesome.

LOL, I like how he talks about, trying to make it light. My 5.2L dakota weighs more than 600lbs less with Iron heads/block/rear. I hope the next one with a Fiat chassis will be under 4,000lbs. Cars are getting way too big and heavy...and manufacturer's claim they are trying to gain MPG . Lighter helps everything- braking, handling, MPG, acceleration.

I wonder is the standard Powerbulge hood fits on it, I hate that new hood and taillights.

Even if the base SRT hood would fit on the Hellcat model, only an idiot would attempt to change it, as this would greatly effect the cooling of the engine.

With the Powerbulge scoops open it would be plenty of cooling for any additional power/heat. Besides people have been putting down 800HP+ in previous aftermarket supercharged srt motors with the same hood and have no problems with overheating. I know a few personally and I live in phoenix.

moparjoel1 You make some very valid points. Personally, I wouldn't risk it, even though I agree the base SRT hood does look better than the Hellcat version. Remember the Dodge/SRT engineers were having many issues with overheating on the Hellcat prototypes and this is one of the reasons why the lower front air dam was redesigned with no fog lamps, lower/upper front grill openings are larger than other 2015 Challenger models & the ram air intake is located within the front headlamp.

TheBjjones I haven't read anything about over heating on the new Hellcat during production, but I have seen that they were trying to get a ton of air in there for the supercharger, which is why the ram air ports are there. Though it is possible that the warm air or lack of air could have decrease horsepower, which is something aftermarket customers are not going to get into researching as far as a manufacture would.

Is going to be a limited edition??

In the webchat, they said they had no idea how many they were going to produce. They said it was going to be driven by demand, to a point though. In some sense it will be exclusive to retain residual value.
