I have read the reviews and articles of Decanter, Farr Vintners, Sotheby’s, and other highly regarded online publications on the ethereal, beautifully structured and gastronomic 2015 Dom Perignon-and I can say with confidence and certainty that this review is the real deal! It’s brilliant, cerebral, comprehensive, compelling and authoritative-reflective of your expertise and experience in everything Dom Perignon. Love the informative “small talk” prior to the tasting, but especially love the real-time tasting and review!! Truly appreciate your thoughts on this vintage, your detailed notes and descriptors-love the spontaneity and the terrific use of analogies as well as the useful tips regarding buying, collecting, storing, and aging this legendary champagne. Congratulations on this brilliant, creative, and stellar presentation, review, and production. Very well done, John! Cheers and Happy Sunday!
Thanks very much, Margaux! Very glad you enjoyed it! It was nice to be able to taste it live on the video this time. Always an exciting time for me when they release a new vintage! Appreciate the thoughtful feedback. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Cheers!
@@AttorneySomm You’re welcome, John! Immensely enjoyed the exciting “live on video” tasting as well as the rest of this excellently written and superbly presented video. Cheers!
I'm amazed you put this much work into this channel with only 12k subscribers - a labour of love I guess "a piece of hard work that you do because you enjoy it and not because you will receive money or praise for it, or because you need to do it"
Thank you! I do very much appreciate the viewers I meet in person who say they enjoy the channel as well who let me know they enjoy the content in comments. I do get more financial benefit and nonfinacial benefits from other non-YT wine activities, but definitely enjoy sharing what I learn here despite the relatively-small following. (My IG is 38,000). And I hope it catches on and grows faster at some point.
@@AllenLiu128 Not to my knowledge. But I think people I know drink Dom older than other champagnes because it ages so well. With 20-30 year old champagne from the secondary market, the success rate is not as high as for other wines in my experience.
