Can you show us how to solve these problems on TI-30XS? i know that first 5 questions can't use the calculator, but you can for the rest of the test. Thanks

David Henriquez practice -yes. But it really comes down to what you practice. Most students are struggling all over the place trying 4 and 5 different study materials and plans and still failing! The key is to have an organized plan so that the hours you put in yield a passed GED Test for you. My recommendation is that you find something that works for you and stick to it - especially in your case as you make mention of an attention disorder. Check out my online GED course at www.mygedlive.com
Hello, I had a question about taking the ged. I know there are classes, but do you have to take them? Could you just study from the book and do the online things they give you on www.ged.com and stuff?
I have passed 3 of the tests with the help of your program. I saved the math for last. Looks like it should be a doozy of a test. Thanks for everything you do.
Hey sinister ministry I don't knw if u kind me asking am gonna take the social studies ged first but I don't knw what to study can j help me please maybe u have some tips that could help me :(
Shawayne Ricketts I passed it but I didn't study honestly its things that you will be pulling from the article they give you. But let me tell you that you must be able to ready quickly and understand what their asking you. I've passed everything except for math.
I am 57 years old and I have been failing the GED TEST ever since I was 19 years old. What is the possibility that your course will be the answer to all those years of past failures?
Im gonna be 17 in October so i cant start ged classes until then, but im nervous because the last grade that I completed was 8th i pretty much dropped out because ive been in 9th grade for 2 years now. And i felt like I would be in 9th forever. Anyways i feel like i know nothing when it comes to math, and someone told me that the teachers for the ged classes don't help you. So im feeling stuck now. Because id definitely need help. Is that true?
Thank you for this video very very very helpful I've felt the math portion of the GED4 times I've passed the other 3 subjects so this is my last one to go I'm watching your videos so that I can pass it this time no matter how many times I fail I can't give up
@sarah snow Getting you GED is definitely tough and, unfortunately, there are GED classes that are no more than study halls and the instructor has not been prepared to help the students. With that being said, there are options to break through with math and ultimately pass the GED Test. I am one of those options. When you are ready to begin, I suggest visiting my website, www.mygedlive.com and taking the practice test and then follow the instructions from there.
I like your teaching and it's helping me a lot. I am currently in GED classes, I will be taking the math test next week. I see that it takes a while to figure out these problem. It's going to be difficult for me because, in the exam we are timed, it gives us a minute in a half to answer.
Glad I stumbled upon your video. I'm currently taking GED classes (study hall) and have been teaching myself/studying math I never remembered learning so this was really helpful. Hoping to be one and done with the math portion of the GED test.
Still at it. June 3, 2015 next math test. Going to your site this weekend and through the 2nd of June. Going to check what you've posted here just below this. I have so much to get done. I am stopping all distractions to pass this and keep my summer semester enrollment in college.
Crazy, long day...Drove miles there. Got there on time, early. Waited. Couldn't find receptionist. Waited...another receptionist showed up. Call instructor who gives tests and logs you on. He showed up 38 minutes late. He was nervous. It was difficult for him to sign me in, log in, get my details uploaded to GED accordingly. Started. Test ended before it should have. A plug-in or something wasn't right so he tried to retrieve my test by then it showed I had 37 questions left. I kept going, the site would freeze, he'd start it up, log in again and again. Test ended. The easiest questions were on screen. 6 hours tired, calm, disappointed, disgusted, and still. I made it home save through the desert. I will be taking it again either the 8th, 9th or 11th. GED was wonderful. Rescheduled due to the issues. One this I figured, they weren't told the about the problems of instructor not showing up on time, the system failures at this testing site etc. I'll know more either tomorrow or Monday. I have until the 11th because my courses begin with summer semester on the 15th of June. :( I checked and even with not answering so many questions or even getting them to appear. I had a score of 141. I feel confident I'll pass. If there's no trouble at testing site. I don't think there will be. GED could determine the issues at their offices from their direct connection of test uploaded I was taking. WOW
Your videos is an inspiration as it's helping me understand Math more so then by trying to study from a book. I have passed all subjects on the GED except Math, I have been tying to pass the Math since September 2014 and I just had a retake on the Math for the 4th time January 5th and once again failed with a below passing grade of 138. I tossed all of my GED books in the trash as it was not helping me with passing and have turned now to RU-vid videos as a last hope of help. I am planning to go back and retake the Math portion in two weeks, meanwhile I am using these two weeks to study with RU-vid being my tutor.
J.lannette Flores I took it last month, scored 144, I am not eligible to retake it until May 25th, it's the last subject I have to pass to get my GED but will keep you in formed when I take it next month
I have an upcoming ged math test this October, & I to study, problem is I don't have any study materials. Any suggestions or website I can go to, to start studying??
Can I sign up for your program just for math? I already passed the 3 other test but I'm stuck with math. will the price be different if I take just math? please let me know, I just want to pass this math test and be done with this. thank you
When you're circling the numbers and stop. I have to stop and review again and again because I'm trying to coordinate and associate the letters of the formula sheet. Perhaps consider getting the yellow circle off the letters. Hence, students wouldn't have to repeat so many times to read them again and again. Then go back again to understand how you knew that equation was the one to choose.
+J N The math is 10 lessons, so plan on a minimum of about 12 hours watching the videos, then another five hours taking practice test and working on concepts
I have been very discouraged . What steps do I need to take to pass the new ged. Will I have to study for years to pass the ged ? I need guidance badly before i'm too old to remember things I learn.
Ragedy Rawney Don't be discouraged, I have helped many students pass the GED Test this year from low skill levels, many failed test and being out of school for 20+ years. If you are willing to invest 6 hours of study time each week and purchase my GED Prep package ($25), you will see the results you are looking for - Go to www.mygedlive.com to get the process started whenever you are ready
I passed the test in 2 try's June 4th I took all 4 tests I passed social studies and language arts.... But failed math and science...I failed science with a 149 lol and I got a 139 on the math test...I went back the next week June 10th TODAY and I passed both tests I'm now finished!! Honestly watching these youtube videos is the key to passing I didn't take one class....and I was at a 8th grade level in math so if I can pass it anyone can!! It only took me 1 week!! But I studied nonstop on youtube and relearned all the math I could!! That was just enough to pass I passed with a 150....
Hello sir. I am a 17 year old who just started his senior year of High School. I want to get my GED because I would like to get into the working world and get a leg up for college. I watched the complete video and I was only wondering if that this is the type of math on the GED? If so, if I want my GED could I simply take the test rather then take classes for 3 months?
TheLardtoast depends where you live, in some states, it is required to take classes before the actual exam - check the rules of your local GED Test provider to be absolutely sure
I'm going to try it out hopefully it helps I've been trying to figure out what to study on my own but there's to much to cover and I have no time left -_-
Jose Luciano I will tell you the same thing that I tell everyone with this question. The key to passing the GED Test is the Math Test. Most student are doing what I call "old school studying" and it just doesn't work for passing the GED Test. If you want to learn how to study for this new test, read my free eBook, "Stop Failing the GED Math Test," this book will help to prepare you for what you are up against! www.mygedlive.com/#!free-ebook/ctj7
Go back to the minute mark in the video, in this case, we are looking at square feet, not just simply feet, that’s why we must multiply 12 times12 to get 144 in.² and then divide that through
I'm am a person who has a learning disability In 2011 I had all my test except math now this new GED test is here and I'm having a extremely hard time passing any advice
Tamala Brown Math is the key to passing the GED for most people, with or without a learning disability! However, what most are doing is "old school studying" and it just doesn't work for passing the GED Test. If you want to learn how to study for this new test, read my free eBook, "Stop Failing the GED Math Test," this book will help to prepare you for what you are up against! www.mygedlive.com/#!free-ebook/ctj7
How you Doing Sir I Registered for The Hiset My testing day is May 1st I'm not really that good with Algebra but I'm still studying do you know how many questions do I have to pass for the math part for I can pass this subject?? In 2012 I Took the Ged test and failed math by only 30 points but passed all the other subjects thanks :)
Ray Suarez Unfortunately, I am not as familiar with the HiSet as I am with the GED. I do know that the HiSet is still on the 2002 GED Standard, so you need to get about 60-65% of the questions correct.
The first thing I would do is reschedule the test, the second thing I would do is take an official GED practice test and make sure that you scored 150 over it, the third thing I would do is get some help to get to that one 50 or official practice test before you take the real test again.
good morning I have a real problem, I graduated from my local community college with my electrical tech diploma. But now since I want to move forward with my education someone at the college realize that I didn't have my GED, so they told me I have 2 week to get it!!!!! So I WAS KICK OUT !! Then I got call from them (college) saying that the only way I can come back is the take and pass the GED. Well I passed 3 section but FAILED math. Please is there any advice anyone can give me I made a 138!!!!
Archie Watkins yes, take my online course - its free to use and will give you the insights you need to pass the math test - coursecraft.net/courses/z9PSx
There is no way that the tree wrap problem is correct. A cylinder, with the top and bottom not present, always can be unwrapped as a rectangle. That rectangle, in feet, is 3.75 x 1.83, which is just short of 7 sqft.
Hi, I am 16 yrs old, and I have been studying for the test for quite some time now. I am not so nervous about the math section as I am about the other 3 subjects. I have taken several online practice tests over the course of this year, but I am not fully confident that I am ready. On the other hand, I feel that I may be over thinking it all... Anyone here who has passed the test and has some tips to offer from his or her own personal experience??? :) LMK, Thank you!!!
Another question... Is there an option to take the whole exam on a computer? I am quite nervous about the essay part (Language Arts), and I was wondering if writing it on a computer is an option???
I've passed all the tests first try and didn't study for any of them besides the math. Pace yourself accordingly is the best advice. use your time wisely. All the answers are right in front of you if you read carefully and yes you write on the computer.
This.. Man saved me lol. i failed by 4 points on the test the first 2 try's. but with the answer to these 2 questions ill probably score 150 or above hopefully.
Glad you find the videos helpful, make sure to go and take an Official Practice GED Test at GED.com before you take the real test again, it is definitely worth it, if you still find yourself stuck, go to my website and check out the full video package at www.mygedlive.com - Wish you the best!
+Amanda Susneros That's really too big of a question to answer here, you should just go to GED.com and check out the resource for yourself, that's the best way if you want to know what can be tested, but remember, only certain things will show up on a given test, that's the tricky part and that why it's good to get some help because you will be studying forever if you try to focus on everything on there!
THIS is one of the tougher questions? Plotting points on a graph? Tougher than all the advanced algebra or the rumored trigonometry? I'm taking the math test in 2 days and I sure hope you're right xD
Samantha Cali The best advice I can give you is to never leave your GED Preparation in the hands of rumor or uncertainty - Unfortunately, many people take the test without being sure of what's on it. If you do this, how can you really study and be prepared? People are failing this test at an alarming rate around the country and its because no one spends the time to get real information! At the very least, please go to this link and read it: www.gedtestingservice.com/testers/mathlink?_ga=1.120538376.1246617554.1433104025 If you have questions, I can answer them. I have been teaching GED since 2001 and have made it a priority to read everything the GED Testing Service puts out - They basically tell you how to pass the test but in America, people hate to read!
ive taken every test and im on the last part of the math ,im struggling. the teachers cant help me, because they have to work with other students and that's understandable, but im lost because im hopping to start college soon ,and I know im going to have to take math courses that don't count. overall I just want to get things done with math, but I also really want to understand and have the knowledge I need to have a great GPA in college. I thought maybe I should start with algebra, then get good at that, then move up. If I just learn the steps for each part of math ill be fine. I relized I literally need to teach myself when it comes to math!!!!! don't mean to ramble lol
New York was one of the states that did not like the changes on the GED Test and have authorized other versions of High School Equivalency Test - I am currently helping a young man from New Jersey to pass the TASC and, frankly, it is much harder than even the new GED Test - it has logarithms, unit circles, SIN, COS AND TAN! If you could take the GED or the HiSet, I would highly recommend taking either one over the TASC - especially if you struggle with Math!
ilanomadvideo Okay thank you for the feedback. Also I wanted to know if you can help me..or post a video on the new GED math,I'm also going to order a GED book off amazon.
Blaz1ngSaph1re keep watching the channel, I try to put up new videos regularly, be careful with the "Big Book", it seems like it will help you but turns into a nightmare for most - if you need more specific help, you can sign up on my website for one hour sessions
The real question is why are the math problems more complex than they used to be? When I took classes like 5 years ago it was like basic math and stuff like that.
I hear you loud and clear. All I can say, is the new test is here and we all have to adjust to it's demands. I have developed a 13 lesson system that works - check it out at www.mygedlive.com
The GED Test does not give you a question by question time limit, some questions can be answered quickly and others require intense focus and several minutes. In this video, I am deliberately walking you through all the steps that as an individual, you will process more quickly in your mind on the test.
watching this video gives me anxiety. I cant do algebra for nothing I try everything from videos, every help and when it comes to yx or whatever I just dont know i cant learn it. who uses algebra in the real world anyway..seriously😢😢
I hear you! However, you have got to stay focused and keep pushing towards your goal! Algebra is hard for a lot people studying for the GED Test, so you are not alone in your anxiety and doubt about this test - I've been helping students with these subjects since 2001 and I've seen many challenging situations and circumstances. I can honestly tell you that with the right support, you can understand Algebra enough to pass this test and get on with the rest of your life and goals.
Im taking my test today, I don't have a clue what im doing, I went to college classes for ged and they didn't help what so ever, I thought it was eaaaaasy but the pretest was from another world, what a waste of my time. One hour away classes smh 😑
Good observation, definitely use it to your advantage though with thick text questions or multiple steps questions, really focus in and make sure you don’t get distracted
very good and helpful videos all though math is really complicated for me for some reason and i know the answer for the last ? is technically 22 but it actually is 21.78375 lol
Dudeeee too much I can't concentrate. Lost me on the 2nd part smh all other subjects I've mastered. Too much talking, formulas, and numbers my brain trips out
Michele Maxie LOL! But seriously, I do understand, this new GED Test is tough. You are taking a good first step by seeing what You Tube has to offer. The key to preparation is a solid mindset, solid materials and a solid teacher. For the most part, people who are passing this test have all three.
