Matt always seemed to be one of the nicest, cleanest drivers in the sport. His last championship caliber year was destroyed by those guys and damn did he deliver the best payback I've ever seen!
I remember listening in on the radio this race. I was cooking dinner and when I heard the call, I was jumping up and down because I was hoping Kenseth would get him back and he did.
What always gets forgotten was Joey’s huge fist pumping reaction when Brad and Matt wrecked earlier that race. You don’t do that, period. I still think Matt saw that reaction and did this instead of spinning or messing with him.
I think he's moved down to the bottom of that list. Kyle Busch has grown up and is starting to earn that veteran respect, and I can't think of another driver who'd be close.
Single greatest moment of the 2015 season. Logano totally had it coming and Kenseth's remarks afterwords were absolute gold! Bowyer said it best in 2014, when you make Kenseth that mad for him to react like that, you know you're in the wrong.
@@edw5761 You think a respectable driver wanted to be in NASCAR nowdays? Look at Edwards, Stewart, Gordon, Jr. They all quit because it's all about who has the most money, and not about skill level. The "championship" hasn't been prestigious since 2013.
I say, you gotta give it to Kenseth team. The fact that a wrecked beyond recognition (after the first crash) car can still be able to cruise at those speeds to even be able to touch the rear of Logano's car it's amazing. In every other situation the car would be too slow and damaged for this to work
And yet... nothing Logano did to Kenseth caused damage, turning him at Kansas did nothing plus, Kenseth blocked a much faster Logano. I would have turned him too. At Talladega Joey cut him off but that left no lasting damage. When Kenseth sent him hard into the wall, that was uncalled for. You know it too but its in the past so spilled milk.
@@razburry8001 Kenseth didn’t advance because he was slower than Logano. Logano would have passed him if it weren’t for Kenseth’s way over the top blocking. Spin or get passed, one of those things where gonna happen with the way Kenseth was driving. Either way he doesn’t win and doesn’t advance.
@@truthof7382Logano was already set to advance. Kenseth was still trying to get in. Logano may not have done any PHYSICAL damage to Kenseth at Kansas, but he junked the guy's chances at a playoff spot for no gain to himself. And yet, when he's on the receiving end, suddenly it's a "chicken shit move" and Matt Kenseth is "a coward." Didn't seem very cowardly to me, Joey boy. He made sure you knew that how you race when you're the bat is how you're going to be raced when you're the ball. Joey Logano: biggest hypocrite crybaby in Nascar. It's so cool when he dumps you, but when you dump him, it's a chicken-shit coward move. Get the fuck out of Nascar, Logano. You don't have the balls to play with men.
Kenneth absolutely did the right thing here from a racer point of view. There were multiple dog shit moves Joey did to Matt throughout the season and it was time to cash in that ticket. It was very interesting to me that MRN reported a lot, but I didn’t hear them report the ovation he received from the fans who understood that Joey had it coming. MRN also said they haven’t seen anything like this, which is false. Jeff Gordon did the same exact things Clint Boyer at Phoenix in 2012 and didn’t get suspended. But I believe this is when Brian France Jr. was ruining the sport with his obvious favoritism, random rulings and massive drinking and drugs.
I know it started with Jimmy Spencer never forgot, but race, car drivers in general never forget, and usually always find a way to get payback and this was well-deserved, and probably one of his greatest moments because he definitely would’ve been a prime contender to win his second championship.
The fact that Kenseth was punished made NASCAR that season a joke. They were really trying hard to help Logano get to Homestead. Glad that punk didn’t win in ‘15
I remember being able to thank Matt for doing that at Phoenix the next year. He gave a bit of an awkward chuckle, but it was the least I could do as thanks for helping him salvage what was otherwise a crappy season overall.
1:24 i remember watching this race on tv when i was 5 years old and the moment i saw Kenseth by logano i could literally sense that something was about to happen
It looks like Lagano will not win the championship this year, 2018. It's not just Kenseth. Seems like Lagano is still making enemies out on the track. What comes around goes around.
This type of crap started with Brad wrecking Carl all the time and spinning him out in the last laps of the race! Now he and Joey are attacking Matt and thinking that they can get away with wrecking others without any consequences! Well, as we can see here, it's a matter of time before the grimm reaper catches up with you! Paybacks are a bitch and what NASCAR is all about with the Alabama gang! They promoted violence and the audience loves it where the teams and drivers are the losers potentially becoming injured from these careless acts! Way to stick up for yourself, Matt, and take it like a man, Joey, and own up for the Penske mistakes that were made this day! I'm sure the captain was ashamed of what occurred from both of his drivers this day and from the past with Joey and his temper tantrums!
Right... and Joey's bullshit with Matt *all season long* was not a factor, was it??? Take off the blinders. Your driver is (still) an #immature #dipshidiot.
@@legorobotics1017 Exactly. Joey plays the victim role every time. Funny enough I have no issue with Kyle because I can atleast respect him. He knows how to win and he owns up to his style of driving. Joey lost the respect of so many because of the way he doesn't own up to it.
When NASCAR died and went total PC. Nothing done to so many racers before, including Gordon with Clint just a few years ago. NASCAR went total PC. They lost a huge audience. It's been showing at the track as well.
Glad Kenseth and his fans got their day in the sun. Because when its all said and done decades from now, Logano will have more Championship and Wins than Kenseth ever will.
Yeah but one less because of Matt. Along with the greatest payback moment ever and the crowd cheering when Joey hit the wall is epic. Unless most people google it they will not know how many of anything Joey has but they will remember this 😂
