They were hose clamp pliers. The end of the wire is designed to grip onto hose clamps and squeeze them together as you squeeze the pliers together. The long wire is useful to get in spaces where regular hose clamp pliers can't get to. They only cost $15. Here's the link to the tool amzn.to/48FZwoU

The large one to the bottom right is Coolant. The two small in the middle bring in transmission fluid. Make sure to clamp these before you remove them so that you do not drain the transmission fluid because the only way to refill the transmission fluid for this sealed system is by lifting the car and is a process by itself. If you happen to drain it by mistake you probably lost around 1-1.5 quart of transmission fluid out of 3.5 quart.
