This is a wonderful product for anyone with a horse that has a horse that is just coming out of shoes to help the hoof grow and not shatter off at the weak nail holes. To help horses of all sizes and ages with rasped off thin walls to grow out and thicken up. For even shoeing over top of the wrap for horses with thin walls that there is nothing to nail into! I saw Dave shoe a horse over casting and it was amazing to see the horse travel off. I use it with horses that need help recover from shoes with great success over the past 10+ years. And for the trail horse it is a must in saddlebags! If you throw a shoe the casting will get you back to trailer and protect hoof till farrier can come out. I am taking to the World Equestrian Games with me in Tryon, NC for the Endurance competition incase a horse needs help.
