Quick how to for the manifold pre-cat O2 sensor. This is the hardest one to get to of the six. Keep in mind their are different parts for each O2 location. I have driven several miles after this repair and the error has not returned. This item has been recalled by Jaguar and is possible to get replaced for free. See the Jaguar recall notice for more details. Jaguar will only recall this item if completed by a Jaguar dealer. I had already done this before I got the notice.

Hi Weekend Warrior I have 2016 Type R So far no issues with O2 sensors But I heard 10 year extended warranty Just make sure they don’t do software update because I heard it takes away crackles and pops when exhaust button bypass is pressed Please do more maintenance videos for the F Type please Your oil change and maintenance video was super thorough Maybe transfer case and differential oil changes? Thank you

Hi, I bought a 2018 model year P340 V6 4 months ago and I got a bad sensor 3 code. Could you point me to Jag's extended warranty you mention? I saw on the forum that the warranty for sensors is valid in the US.

Thanks for sharing this. Im gonna try have a go myself this week. Its in such a tight space and ita impossible to get a wrench in there. I like your tip to use the cam shaped socket tool and tap it with a hammer to loosen the old one out and tighten up the new one. Is yours still working ok?

I've come across that some o2 sensors have 4 pins, and some have 5. How do i know which is right for my car?

Best is to get the part number from the dealer if you cant find it on the part. They can confirm the correct part by the VIN. You can then cross-reference it on google most the time. One of the many mainstream parts stores can help some times as well. If they get it wrong they will usually take it back. Always check there return policies though.

So if there is no dealer near me I cant get the free recall fix? The nearest dealership is about 200 miles away at this point.

True it must be done by a certified Jag tech. It is possible someone around you may be authorized. I would contact Jag and see if they can point you to one closer to you.

Not a car guy. Does it matter what brand o2 sensor is? Jaguar dealership overprices their stuff wondering if it’s any different from a o2 sensor at autozone

The one I used was not a Jag part and it is still working fine. Just make sure you know the correct one that is bad and have the parts store match it with your VIN. You can also get the part number from Jag and have the other parts store cross reference that.
