I know some people have had negative experiences with the Cherokee, but I've had my 2015 Cherokee Latitude for over a year and I haven't experienced any of these problems. So far I love my lil 'Cher'😊!
Just a suggestion. I would like it if you went a little more in depth with the driving experience. Maybe even make a few videos of just driving it around town and talk about your personal opinions of how the vehicle responds.
I just got a white grand cherokee overland as my work car. The day after i got it, i took it on a 1000km journey for work. When i stopped for fuel about 600km into the journey, the car was very reluctant to start back up. It was brand new as well. on the whole, I would say it's an average car. I like the power that the 5.7L V8 gives but the interior plastics are really cheap and nasty.
AMG GLE 63 S you need to remember, the Grand Cherokee is NOT. A $100,000+ amg gle63! But an SUV you can go places you could only hope to go in the amg, for half the price!
This is 90% based and made by Maserati Levante engineers that’s why is so nice. People pay 130,000 for this exact jeep with a Maserati badge and Ferrari engine
long time Jeep fan, former Grand Cherokee owner, (and Wrangler TJ) my recent test drive of the Cherokee found it to be extremely and surprisingly UNCOMFORTABLE. settled on the Ford Explorer. Drive both, there's no comparison. If you get the Cherokee, consider stealing one of the stadium seats from a minor league baseball park and replacing the drivers seat with it . . . .
Warning too all wh have not heard about the nine speed transmission issues that FCA refuses to repair... do not purchase this vehicle a classaction lawsuit is in progress due to the safety issues with this vehicle.
This car is apparently horrible in every aspect. I seriously don't understand the people who buy these...one Google search will reveal an entire universe of horror stories. Do not get this car. Virtually everybody who has one says that it is the worst car they've ever had.
Ahh! Scratch that.. was watching Renegade reviews and didn't notice this was a Cherokee review.. ;-) I thought it looked wrong.. ;-) I think the same applies about the trans tho. The 9 speed just isn't there yet... What I said first is below, when I had the wrong car.. ;-)----- No, we don't say that.. Although we have the manual, and I understand the automatic has issues...Although.. It's a Jeep.. Why would you want an Auto? ;-)
Awrsome to see another review!!! I really think you could take these to the next level if you spent a few more minutes gathering driving shots and adding music to intros/scenes. I really think the Autoguide channel or Steve Hammes DriveTime channel on RU-vid are good examples to follow. Keep being the average guy, but you could totally be more critical and add more of a "production" look to make your channel go to the next level. You're doing a great job though! Keep it up! Cheers!
On Edmunds.com owner reviews ripped another on these vehicles and Chrysler. The 9 speed transmission they designed for this car is shit. People's car have stopped working one guy had the transmission replaced 3 times and the problem still would not go away he sued Chrysler because they pretty much sold him a lemon. All of the bad reviews which pretty much 100% of them where negative were about the transmission.
geekbaritone you know this is not a Chrysler transmission right? Rover and Honda/acura use it to. ZF a high end manufacture makes it. I know new systems take some time to get used to.
I’ve had mine since 0 miles I’m at 100000 now and it’s never given me a problem! Hopefully I could get another 100000 miles out of it just hear to see what I should look out for! What kind of service would you recommend for 100000
@@f3ar710 what problems does it have. I got 2014 limited and just had the update and transmission still not shifting right and needs another update..how many does it need to be correct? And once corrected is it reliable?

I'm just now looking at reviews kind of after the fact because I just picked up a 2015 yesterday.. This is 2021. Kind of by choice but not by choice. Really my minivan is minivan of a Chrysler nature was worked on and 24 hours later the electrical did it's own version of flashdance and everything shut down.. The dealer had this Cherokee that had just been brought in by a Chrysler rep. I drove it and and liked it.. All of the maintenance was meticulously done and the mileage was very low. Less than 63000 miles. More money than I intended to spend on a vehicle but still not as much as most out there. Went over a little bit and liked it so yes I bought it. I didn't get a deal on it but I did get a fair price. I've driven it all of about 24 miles as I write this and it will take me a little bit to get used to the gadgets but this particular Jeep is as close to new as you get for an older car and I expect I will be happy with it especially with the Michigan winters that we have. I appreciate the interview that took place on this review and yes I'm behind the 8 ball a little bit But at least I have another shot. Anyway thanks for the review. It was good.
This is not a Cherokee, it is a crossover designed almost exclusively for on road use based on the Chrysler 200. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is not what the classic Cherokees were. Classic Cherokees were go anywhere true offroad vehicles, more of a Wrangler reworked for practicality.

Lots of negativity around this vehicle. I own two Jeeps so that makes me a bit biased. Plus I lease so I’m out before much can go wrong in most scenarios. Your point is well taken tho - gotta keep it real.
This is why you don't take advice from the "average" guy. Jeeps are HUGE money pits.. Just do a search for this car in google, its FULL of issues, and lawsuits.. The transmissions are bad.. SO bad Jeep bought some of them back and replaced them Just just to have the replacement jeeps have the SAME transmission issues. AVOID at ALL costs!
Just the V6 Cherokee but decided against getting it. Expensive to fix when it does have problems and it has bad reviews on the transmission. Kind of like the Jeep Liberty really. We are going to go with the Toyota RAV4 V6. older but good reviews.
I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude-2 4X4 with 9 speed transmission. The car jerks/jumps dangerously as it is starting up and as it is changing gears. It is particularly dangerous if you are going around a corner and speeding up. I took it to the dealership and I was told that this is a very intelligent car and it will learn my driving habits. That was 25,000 miles ago. First time in my life I got stuck in the sand at Outer Banks at N.C. it coast me $225. When in 4X4, the car does not go fast enough to climb up the sand dunes. Needles to say it has been a total disappointment. I put a similar post on EDMUNDS.COM and I went back few weeks later could not find it.
