I like it. And considering the fact it sounds like it's gonna be cheap, I might even consider getting it! It looks like a concept car rather than a production car. I know there are gonna be TONS of haters saying this isn't "jeep worthy" but come on. An off road ready rig no bigger than a scion xB? That's cool to me. It's there company. They do what they want.

Why not Made in USA to protect AMERICAN JOBS and workers..? Just as Dodge Dart II and Chrysler 200 underpinnings come from FIAT, not MADE IN USA, it will take many years for FIAT to recover from it's shoddy reputation of poor quality cars...!' Give me a Made in USA CJ-5 clone, not the over grown & wide Wrangler, which is almost too wide for Jeep trails in western Colorado mountains south of Ouray..!

I've had so many issues w/ my Jeep Renegade, it's ridden with electrical issues all over. I just got mine back after it being in the shop 51 days due to issues w/ the Body Control Module. Parts were on back order for months, they finally came up with software updates. They still can't get the "Service Vehicle" message off the dash, they've tried all the reset sequences and even hooking up the computer, so now they've gotta find a software fix for another module. FCA Customer Service sucks to deal with. AVOID THIS JEEP!!! I love my Grand Cherokee, and I love my Wrangler, but this FIAT is a POS! There's tons of people with same issues, but FCA refuses to admit it's an issue, yet there's 100's of back order request for the same module.

Well I do love mine! JEEP TRAIL HWAK ( BUT, BUT) #1... My price did not start with the one it started with a three! ($32,000) #2.... I average about 21 to 22 miles per gallon on a long trip. The sound system is great, the comfort is great the wind noise from the removable tops is tolerable. It's very fun to drive and when you look at a Corvette you realize you probably could climb over it with this jeep....

They're right, it's just like a wrangler! They both have windshields and 4 wheels! Nothing about that it like a wrangler. They're mental image of "jeep" is so watered down it's not even funny. All new "JEEP BRAND" vehicles are disgraceful.

What's with all of the super shiny hard plastics everywhere? Just about everything but the dash top is shiny and cheap looking. It's an interesting looking vehicle though. Looks way too much like the 500 L though. You can tell it's the L with different fenders. Ugh...

I got to take the Renegade offroad here in Europe on a motrocross track. It is tons of fun to drive and surprisingly good on the circuit. It was a 2.0 Diesel with 140 HP an engine that I doubt you will see in the US.

I think it will sell well.

ive driven the AWD trax 1.4 turbo and it does very very well in the snow. I would have to try this but the 4x4 is probably open diff so I'm leaning towards the trax XD

I really like it. Would be the perfect daily driver for my Wife. Goes through the snow, but isn't some huge SUV.

Well, its ugly ...But then I remember back in the 70's the regular pickups were the norm, but the 4x4 versions were usually ugly, the capabilities of this thing should be like any other Jeep, GREAT, My 01 wrangler has a 153 engine with open diffs and I am 100% more capable than 99% of regular vehicles out there with 29's on the rims. Would I buy one?....sure, its a Jeep, why wouldn't I buy one?

Funny, only 9 years later and the price is almost 30k for the base model and they took out the naturally aspirated engine and replaced it with a POS turbo with asinine start/stop.

Why the HELL did they name it Renegade, when that was a trim level from previous Wranglers??? Now it just causes confusion. They should have named it Nevada or Utah or some other U.S. location.....

Competition for the new Jeep Renegade -- Chevy Trax, Subaru XV Crosstrek, Nissan Juke, and Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.

I would love to see a dieted down Wrangler with diesel. No removable top, removable doors, fold down wind shield, just the standard sun roof or automatic fabric top, lighter weight, more trunk space without all the tubings, but still maintain the 4x4 capability I know it doesn't have the soul of Wrangler, but it would be more practical for someone like me who doesn't do hardcore off roading all the time. Kind like poor man's G-wagon. I would so buy it now. Renegade is nice, but it's still too small from the look of it.

I don't really understand... I mean I know a Land Rover is like 5x more expensive than this, but all Land Rovers work off road... when I think of Jeep I think off road vehicle... front wheel drive and low ground clearance doesn't seem like it'd be especially good off road? Like the compass and jeeps like that.

Has it been confirmed if the Trailhawk will have the MySky option? I'll assume they will offer a factory tow package since they have been testing towing at altitude. I wish that I had known they were going to be down there. I would have been stalking Castle Rock and Sedalia trying to get a peek.

The Renegade is gonna be awesome ! and the 1.4 engine sound really great, add 4x4 on it and its gonna be a really great everyday/everyweather car

fuck. fiat makes the panda and it would eat this offroad. idc if its made in the states. BUT jeep is simple 2 high 4 high and 4 low.. thats all you need. no mud snow rock setting, opening diffs and a decent driver will work great. and please please make to torque low in the rpm.

At least it will be available with a real 4wd system with low range. One thing I can't stand is the fact that some Jeeps being front drive with CVT transmissions. The big gripe I saw with the new Renegade is the small rear windows behind the rear passenger doors. That creates a big blind spot.

Being a wrangler owner this becoming out of control with these small so called jeeps. If someone wants a Renegade then go buy a Fiat! Jeep should stick to Wranglers and Cherokees and let Fiat deal with the small clown cars.

This guy designed this, but doesn't have a clue what transmission is going to be used. And a 7-slot grill and circular headlights don't make it a wrangler.

Still no LED's in the headlights. This should be standard now adays. I like the big round head lights but they would look even better with some Angel Eyes.

It's a Nissan Juke-ish machine with that American swagger. There's definitely a market for this.

one problem, take the jeep badge off from the rear and put a nissan badge on, and you won't be able to distinguish. The brand design isn't there, especially lacking in the rear. Too.. cube-y?
