In 1989 the world was introduced to the Lexus name with the introduction of the LS. Out of nowhere, little Japanese upstart, Toyota, decided it wanted to take on the Germans in the luxury market. Now 26 years later I hold the keys to the latest and greatest Lexus flagship, the 2015 Lexus LS 460L. This latest LS is the most aggressively styled, largest and most luxurious model yet. With chrome everywhere, giant alloys and a 4.6-liter V8 making 385 horsepower, I was curious to see if this new sedan could live up to its decades old reputation.

Getting a one-owner 2017 LS460L tomorrow, June 25, 2020 to replace my 2015 LS460. Can't wait! Still can't get used to LS500, especially cheaper interior.

@@megauploader Fewer miles and bigger interior. Sold it in March and got a Matador Red Mica 2019 LS500, much faster and only 12,000 miles. Love!

The latest and greatest Lexus flagship is LS 600hL. If you put it in sports mode, it should find the gear better. At least this is what my LS-430 does. This is one of those cars that empowers you. It is understated, simple, but when you pay attention to it, it offers a lot. Good review.

Is It Not A 8 Spd.AutoTrans? The L Version Must Weigh Close to 5000 lbs,Then ,Cause the Reg.LS 460 Gets 17- 27,I Thought. See Why People Hold Onto Their LS430's So Long,Even W/ 6 Spd.Auto & the Sm. Blk.4.3,City is 17,Hwy is 25-28 mpg.& Even W/ Out The Fancy Suspension,Feels Like a 4 Dr.Sprts.Car,Handling Wise.

I would buy for 100k. Brand new, zero miles on the odometer, full factory warranty, and I have a really good career. I would do it.

You hit the nail on the head when you said this car does a lot of things well. I wanted a super reliable, quiet, luxurious, supple ride, that was also decently fast, safe, had awd for the winter, and wasn't "blingy" on the outside. My 2014 LS has all of the above, and does all of them exceptionally well. Great review!

I think it's ironic that besides the fact that it is a car, most of the luxury consist in just comfortable seating. So if you are sitting at home with a nice comfortable recliner you are pretty much experience thousands of dollars in luxury lol

Typical home couch/recliner seating doesn't have heated/cooled seats, massagers, lumbar...

Supreme 12860 just got one yesterday and that mouse will definitely grow on you when you play around with it. I know I only owned my 2013 for less than a day, but this car is simply amazing.
