Thank you for the video that I was amazing with the shims. All of these so call mechanics on RU-vid when they take the old brake pad out They throw away the shims. Sometimes they can't fit him back in so they think they don't go with them because there's some embedded on the new brake pad. Question for me is why on the front rubber shim gos toward the pistin but on the rear it goes on first then another shim on top of it and the metal hits the piston? Is the rear supposed to have that rubberized shim towards a piston? On the rear calipers you put rubberized one on it first and then the other shim on top of it so it is metal to the piston?

Thanks for the great feedback! I did it in accordance with the Toyota service manual and haven't had issues yet, maybe next brake job I'll reverse it as it does make more sense the way you're saying and see if it makes a difference! Cheers
