Billy Messina is a damn good guy. I don’t know if he remembers but back in 2006 I was playing with R&D/Easton coached by Cobbie Harrison. We had already played Benningfield/Easton in several tournaments already. So we were in Lexington Kentucky in the thoroughbred classic and we were playing benningfield. I had not made an out against Billy so I had came up and hit a screamer past him for a double. When I reach second base he walked over to me and said, “ damn who are you, I can’t get you out to save my life.” I took that as a compliment being he was one of the better pitchers in the conference. I’ve always like watching Messina play.
These guys are horrible ... All they must practice is hitting .. They can't even make a play on a routine grounder to SS. This isn't a sport at all. One phrase comes to mind.. Jim Rome's "Softball Guy" take.
+James P they do that to shorten the games.. also try being that close and taking a ground ball over 100 mph brotha... bet u would move outta the way hahah
@de72nlamont tone the balls and bats down and you dont have that problem. We've had a couple of these guys come back to play local tourneys and with normal equipment they dont stand out much
Get your buddy's together an enter a major turney, you guys will get crushed every game, make sure an get it on tape so we can all get a good laugh in!
I wonder if they brought in the exact same PED testing as they now have in MLB and MLB players went on strike and decided to turn their attention to slowpitch to bide time... would these goons still have jobs?? :D
It's called taking pitches, if you weren't a knucklehead, you would know they played a lot of games, they have to make the pitcher work in the championship game!
