A Freethinker With one of these, you don't need anything else. If you can afford the fuel and rv parks (cheaper than a rent), you can stay in this rv full time.

No, electric. Newmar invented the slide-out room in motorhomes, and the flat-floor slide out as well. They still use the same mechanism they invented in the 1990's, and it still works reliably. Other manufacturers use hydraulic because it is cheaper and easier to incorporate into their designs.

Solar panel and wen u drike electromotor recharge ur truck battery... about water i think if u have a source somewhere in wild u can take water from everywhere and for sure truck have water filters.

Guaranty RV Super Centers Sorry let me rephrase that. Does the place that sells this rv have a solar version of this. Because i wouldnt feel safe doing the installation myself, i know it would probably cost quite a bit more since its extra labor/material but i wouldnt really care.

There isn't a solar version of this RV. We can install solar on it, or any RV for you. Here is some info and estimates: Solar is good stuff, but a little pricey. Systems should include a charge controller that cuts the output voltage of the panel(s) from 19.5 down to 14.5. Once the batteries are fully charged, when the charge controller sees 13.6 to 13.8 volts at the batteries, it turns off the flow of current. When the battery potential drops, the charge controller allows current to flow to the battery. Using solar to power a coach also requires an inverter to make 120v from the 12v batteries. If you are wanting to operate a household 120v refrigerator on solar, you need a minimum of 4 x 160 watt solar panels, just to power it, plus a 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter. We do quite a few systems like this since some of the RV manufacturers have started putting household refrigerators in coaches. We would charge $3,800.00 for a 480 watt Zamp solar system with a 60 amp charge controller (expandable to 960 watts). Most all RV’s with a household fridge have a 1000 watt inverter already. If you want to go whole coach with a large 2800 watt Magnum pure sine wave inverter, the inverter install will be around $3,500.00 by itself with a sub panel, installed. We would want to look at enlarging the battery capacity, plus we would want to do a 960 watt solar system for $5,600.00. These prices are slightly padded because every install is unique, and until we had our hands on the coach we could not give you a firm estimate. Lithium Ion batteries are around 1500.00 each, but weigh 1/3 less and last 15 to 20 years. Over a 20 year period, they would be the cheapest, but not by much. Considering inflation, labor charges to replace batteries etc., it may be a good investment, if they truly do last the full 20 years. Show less
