Replacing the Evaporator core on my 2001 frontier and its laughably absurd how easy it is compared to the following generation Frontiers. There's no way I'd even entertain the idea of doing all that
Just as a reminder to anyone who needs to replace their heater core... the ac refrigerant needs to be evacuated before anything else to do it right. If your AC evaporator is bad(has a hole in it) then the system is already open.
Confused? You said "heater core." Doesn't the heater core share coolant with the radiator coolant system, i.e. radiator fluid? Isn't the evaporator core for the AC and up front by the radiator?
Hello I need to do this. I think mice got in there. Past the cab air filters & blower motor. I hear them scratching around. The sad part is my 2014 Frontier only has 36,000 mi. on it. I really don’t have time to do this job. idk what I’m going to do man.
I would definitely be replacing the heater core at the same time.... So I see Nissan basically hung the evaporator in the air and built the truck around it....I'd just buy a new truck.
