вот почему так много в основном продаются машины на автомате.роботе и вариаторе но очень мало на механике? да потому что механика самая надёжная!!! а эти коробки говно,вот и продают! вопрос: самая надёжная коробка автомат? ну и видос с этим авто.т.е. тест драйв!

The problem with this generation of Prado is that the 2.8 turbodiesel is gutless for the sheer size of the thing. Toyota needs to launch a new twin-turbo diesel V6 or straight six with at least 550 Nm of torque for the Prado. And the Fortuner, as well.

While I do agree on some extent, we all know that the LC Prado wasn't made for speed. Sure, more power for the turbo diesel is much appreciated but let's not forget that this 2.8l mill already produces low end torque of 450NM, which is a good figure. If anything, Toyota should just revamp its power and torque figures so that it may reach like almost 200HP and 500NM already.

The Prado 2.8 takes more than ten seconds to go from 80 to 120 km/h making overtaking a dangerous and ill-advised gamble. It's ridiculous how the old Prado 3.0 D4D was actually quicker than the new 2.8 GD. The whole point of a new car is to be faster than the old one, but clearly the idiots at Toyota didn't get that memo.

What? But how? The older 3.0 only has 163HP and 420NM of torque. There's something that's not right about that one... Probably the 2.8 is a lot more heavier?

@@w1ldm4n82 You can see the acceleration videos. The 171 hp 3.0 easily beats the 177 hp 2.8.

@@CynicalBastard511 Oh I nearly forgot. Before the 2.8 came, the 3.0 in other several nations had 171HP right? However, this wasn't the case here in our homeland, because despite the recent facelift which arrived last year, the LC Prado sold here still soldiers on with the 3L that only has 163HP, which is similar on power with the first-generation Fortuner and the Pajero 3.2 with around 165HP. Maybe that engine only has much better powerband than the newer 2.8 because of the bigger displacement so that's why it feels more powerful.
