Hello everyone! Here is the fourth and final part of my Victory Demo Day series, the 2015 Victory High Ball. It's easily one of my favorite cruisers Victory makes because it is so much fun to ride. Hope you enjoy and always remember to keep the Sticky Side Down!

a dedicated sport bike rider reviewing a proper cruiser is like a vegan reviewing bacon.

I Bought my 2012 Highball in December 2014, from a Harris County(Houston) constable bike cop, who had it sitting in his garage for almost 2 years (I got a new bike fully depreciated, but still new). Being a bike cop and on two wheels all day he got home and didn't feel like riding, and, on the weekends, he had his kids, so not much riding then either. I got the bike with only 300 (yes, 300) miles on it, like it had really just rode off the showroom floor! The bike came with the stage 1 kit, and the Victory xBow pipes. Needless to say I love my HighBall. A couple of mods I did, was one, swap out the factory seat for the Mustang seat. A world of difference! The Victory factory solo seat will kill your tailbone after about < hour's ride, however, the Mustang seat only added possibly another 1 3/4 of padding and nice thick leather, didn't really raise much from the seat height, and the leather seat is just awesome, you can ride for hours, and never feel the wear and tear on your tailbone like the Victory factory solo. Second mod I did was get the Victory Hammer Fly Screen(smoke) which rides just above the headlight and angles back covering the speedo assembly, and gives the front of the HighBall a street bike sort of look, and knocks off a ton of wind from your chest. The fork clamps that came with the fly screen fits the larger Hammer, but not the HighBall's Forks, for that I went to the National Cycle fly screen company and they had a clamp kit that work perfectly.

clutch is adjustable based on the rider, and as far as the ape hanger handle bars on a windy day once u get used to it its actually not that bad.

I ride a Harley Fatboy with 18" apes and no windshield. I have never had an issue with wind because of them. Junked the floorboards and replaced with forward controls. It loves the corners and no issues 100+ mph.

Thanks for the review. I own an 05’ Vegas. Aside from a clutch cable replacement at roughly 15,000 miles, I haven’t any issues. Sad that Vic’s aren’t made anymore but happy they’re cheaper on the used market. I’m looking at a few High Ballz for a second bike. Appreciate your honest take.

i have a highball and i enjoy the torque more than the horse power, the sound is not a harley-davidson . i have the same deal with gear read out. i have had a problem with a little oil coming out of the air box after i had it serviced and found that that you have to put the exact amount of oil in when you change it, you would think the service dept would be more careful and would tell you about it. i have talked to a lot of victory owners and a lot of them had the same thing happen. some say they run so well and have very little problems that the service dept guys dont get enough time working on them to know. the ape hangers do take some getting used to, at first it felt like i was on an old roter tiller i had when i was a kid. this is the first time ive seen one of your deals and i will subscribe. good job man

I have the 14 high ball, traded a Tuono V4 for it, one year later don't regret it although I wish I could afford to own both. Apples to oranges. 100whp and who knows how much torque with bolt ons keeps me happy. reminds me I should probably make a video... anyway I have had zero problems with the victory other than an over tightened drive belt from dealer assembly. The gear indicator leaves something to be desired but with everything you get used to it. Tons of thumbs up you will get used to also.

The gear indicator is only accurate when the clutch is engaged. If you pull in on the clutch it does get little confused 😕

Victory demo bikes are often toured around half the country in a semi and ridden by countless people. They do not seem to be the most diligently serviced machines. Probably not the smartest idea to allow the quirky ones to remain in the demo fleet. I have learned this much from my experience with proper examples: They have quite a bit of drive line lash, the throttle cable usually has a bit of slack which tends to draw more attention to the drive line lash. Their brakes work well but lack a confidence inspiring feel. The back of the saddle on most models hits into the tail bone of taller riders and the ugly pull-back handle bars pull back too far for taller riders or longer arms and the wrist angle is a bit odd and the power is better than most big twin cruisers.

coming from the sport bike myself, how was the ride with the fatter front tire of the gunner/ highball? i'm looking at getting a victory myself but unsure of the "fat" front tire

was the exhuast stock on this? or the bow pipes

+Tyler Moore The bike was completely stock, straight from the dealer floor.

hi, what is wrong with shifting 1st to N? is it because ur shifting like u were on a sportbike or is there something wrong with the bike? im considering buying a highball but i dnt wanna have this problem
@StickySideDownOfficial
@StickySideDownOfficial 9 лет назад
+Carlo Agsalon Hello! The only reason why that was happening was because yes, I'm used to the lighter gear changes of a sport bike and I had ridden my sport bike just before recording this video. So it was just my foot getting reacquainted with the stiffer gear changes of the High Ball.

+StickySideDown thank you for responding, i do want to sell my sportsbike but i dnt want to regret it bjt at the same time, i dnt enjoy riding it anymore, i just want to be comfortable, as i am only 5'5, ive test ride a harley street bob, and its alot comfortable as far as my height goes
@StickySideDownOfficial
@StickySideDownOfficial 9 лет назад
+Carlo Agsalon Hey man there's no shame in selling your sport bike for something more comfortable. Even I've thought about it. Whatever bike you get next is all up to you and neither a Harley or a Victory would be a bad purchase.
