2015+ WRX and STI quick release wheel and horn button install 

Not sure what could cause the light, as long as the fuses are in the airbag leads properly the light should be off. Try re-installing the airbag ( with the battery out) and see if the light stays. You may have a coincidence where a different airbag went bad.

Jacob Savage As a matter of fact, check your tire pressures. I had a blinking cruise control light along with an awe light on my sti when the tpms was unhappy with what it saw. It shut my center diff off for safety. Read the manual to see if this is your problem. WRX has different warning lights and combos.

Adammm Wassonmn Thanks man glad it helped. The way I did the odometer display was one I touched the 2 leads with the curled over piece of wire, I simply left it where it was in did not route a button. If you were to wire a button you would have to somehow find the Leeds further down on the steering column and put a button-down there As routing a button on the steering wheel would be fairly difficult. Just make sure that you're not messing with the airbag connector that is on the steering column. One way to find out which leads or the correct ones would be to manually touch the leads together after unplugging certain connectors by the steering column that come off of war the clock Spring is at. Once you find the right connectors if you feel comfortable with it then you can splice into it for a button control. There will be no need for 2 buttons as you would have to run and up-and-down just like the stock steering wheel has. But if you only ran one button it would work just fine.I hope this helps thanks again.

Yesir! Sorry fot the late reply, i have been modding my sti, been pretty scattered lately lol. Just touch the terminals with one bent piece of wire with the acc on and it should come back. Make sure the doors are closed or it will not allow you to change the modes.

Jacob Savage Yes they are different. If reversed the horn may stay on constantly until resolved. For the resistors, They can go either way but you will have to “bacon” them a little bit so they stay pinched in the connector.

Unfortunately I have not attempted this however; you would most likely need to mount the buttons and switches in a location off of the wheel. I would bring the car into a professional automotive wiring specialist and have them make you a custom switch panel for the controls that retain the factory safety features such as "Cruise pause" when the brake pedal is applied. There’s probably a way, but I have not messed with it. Be safe about it if you try, thats a serious system to mess with.

Did you install the resistors into the airbag leads?

@@nickslosubi690 I did retaped them to make sure they were connected

@@gus6601 did you bend them a little bit to make sure they were wide enough? Also are the leads of the resistor touching the metal part of the airbag lead? Othereise they may be the wrong resistors. I used the ones that came with the NRG hub kit. It is a 2015+ wrx or sti correct?

I would have no clue other than what i mentioned above. Each resistor must be pluged into one of the 2 airbag leads. Left lead gets one resistor(both plugs from the resistor) right lead gets the other resistor.

You can not cross the resistor between both leads. The resistor must be in contact with the metal part of the airbag lead

No, If you do not plug the resistors into the airbag leads on the clock spring, this will send a code to the computor and your traction controll/ ABS will not work. If you use the right resistors everything will work properly. Make sure the connection is tight and does not slip out easily, tape it off and you are good to go.
