Thanks! I am really glad I did it. I would love to have the money to just go buy a set of basani sweepers... This has been a great mod that I have been very happy with. No problems mechanically and made the bike have better presence on the road.
still going and been running really good! mild popping on hard decel, but nothing that has made me worried or acted like the bike is gonna get hurt. In no way does it make me worried
I have been running non ethanol gas for a couple tanks now. No real noticeable change in the popping. I rode with some other guys and many bikes have the same pop on decel. I test drive a Harley that was way worse. I think it's just gonna do it unless I reflash the ecu
Thanks! I thought so too. I will say i get more attention on my little bolt than some of my buddies get on there harleys... its not about attention, but that shows how nice the bike looks in the eyes of the general public.
So far there are very small amounts of backfire on deceleration but it's not consistently happening. I would classify it more as a popping than a full on backfire. Not like the movie uncle buck... the exhaust note is so much better and it gives a much better riding experience in my opinion
Hi Matt , I hope you still have your Bolt. I just got one recently and love the ride. I see you have done this video a couple of years ago. Any cons to get till now? And pros besides the great a cost efficient "upgrade" . Much appreciated
I have a stock 2014 that I just bought and want to do this or completely cut off the very end of the stock muffler and totally remove the entire baffle. I don't want to purchase a fuel commander or ECU at this time but am worried about burning up the valves. keep me posted please
Michael Taylor no troubles at all so far. The bike runs great and sounds even better. It's never gonna be a Harley but it is such a vast improvement from the stock sound and feel.
Michael Taylor I’m thinking about slashing my stock exhaust at a 45 angle, if you could let me know how it’s been running good and if the exposure is bad for it or whatever, thanks
If you’re still wondering, its the seat and the handlebars. The Bolt-R is basically a Bolt with upgraded suspension components. The C spec has those components but also the seat with end-cap and clip-on handlebars for a more leaned-over riding position.
Erik g I used a 1.5 inch. Or 1 1/2" bit. It was a Milwaukee bit I bought at Home Depot. I already had a hole saw kit just needed the right size and the extension.
@@bjorn1583 I second this. Bought the bassani sweepers because it sounded so cool on youtube, but in reality it is unnecessarily loud and I ended up selling them.
