:D You have expansion tank and pump!!! Every time you test with different pressure... Your pump does not hold constant pressure, it turns on 50 and pumps to 60(this is just an example, it could be any setup 40-50, 40-60, 50-70 etc...), waits until pressure drops to 50 and pumps again to 60. So every time you test with pressure difference. 60psi will fill more water than 50psi.

Marvin, I suggest calling the manufacturer to be 100% sure. I followed all of the instructions I received, but there may be something I'm not aware of.

Today, 60 days after the install it took 48 seconds to fill the 1.5 quarts bowl using this faucet.

Just for frame of reference, it took 59 seconds to fill a glass bowl with 1-1/2 quarts of water (two days after the install).

Tested again today. It took 52 seconds to fill 1.5 quarts using the same faucet.

thanks for the review, i do have a question though i heard that the wires going toyour main are not supposed to cross eachother because it disturbs the frequency and effect of the device, is that true im thinking about getting one of these

I had to do two layers, one over top of the other to effectively utilize the scaleblaster with copper piping. I'll have to take a closer look at my wiring to see if it crosses anywhere else. Definitely ask the manufacturer if you're unsure.

Because your on a well system did you verify that your pressure tank is not failing?

We've had someone check it. It was fine.

I'd have more faith in larger units for polarity to be effective.

Just now it took 52 seconds to fill the exact same bowl with 1.5 quarts of water using the exact same faucet!

You probably have a low pressure water. The pressure should be at lest 40 psi and 80 max. I assume you have less. Buy a pressure gauge and hook it to any faucet to get a reading?

Does scale still build up on the sink and water faucet?
@simoncelliwilson
@simoncelliwilson 5 лет назад
Even though my water is hard, I've never had a lot of scale build up on the sink and faucet. However, it still builds up on my showerhead. I have a filter in that and change it every couple months.

So you would say it works then? How is it today may 2017 - almost year yr later?

Moe, I did replace the faucet which had build-up. However, the water flow has been very strong for a low flow fixture. I posted another update today.

+Moe, I believe it has helped increase the water flow, although it does nothing (nor does it claim to) to treat the hardness of the water.

I dont understand why you are talking how long it takes for the water to fill instead of the scalp being removed
@simoncelliwilson

James, it's because I can't see inside the pipe to tell whether there is more or less scale. My water was running very slow until I installed the Scaleblaster. It's just one way to measure the flow.

Hello thank you for your response and that makes sense I heard the way to tell is to wait couple of weeks and the shower head and the kitchen sink will be much cleaner with less scale, some one also emptied the water heater and saw almost no scale and before got lots of it. I will buy one this week and get it installed because our water here is real bad, thanks again

James, let me know how it goes. I was on the fence about installing a water softener, because I may need a UV light to kill bacteria. I'm not sure if I have room to install a light after the Scaleblaster. Sigh.

As a former US Navy Electronics Technician, I don't see how this can possibly work. Any frequency produced by this product, sonic or otherwise, will never reach the inside of the pipe. It will go directly to ground. Think about it. Your copper pipe coming into the house comes out of the ground. In fact, the ground connection on all your household outlets are similarly either attached to the same copper pipe or a grounding rod sunk into the ground. This will product will do nothing but send your money down the drain with your hard water. If it did break away the calcium buildup in your pipes you would notice pretty quickly because all your faucet aerators would get clogged with the dislodged calcium. I feel this is a total hoax and once they reach the saturation point of selling to gullible consumers, this product will die.

garywpalmer69, thank you for your comments. I welcome all sides of debate. I do understand what you're saying but cannot scientifically explain the increased water flow after it was installed. The cost to run it is very cheap, so for now, I guess I'm one of the "gullible consumers." I welcome and respect your position. Thank you! (I am *not* pushing this product by any means, and I am not affiliated with the company.)

Aye, this looks like a waste of money.

I believe it is about breaking the ion bonds between the minerals. There are a number of oral rinses that works on the same principal by changing the ions to break up the tartar on your teeth but without the electricity. If you can keep the minerals from bonding, they will flow through without accumulating. Further, this isn't about a direct electrical connection as you can use it on PVC so grounding doesn't play a part. It's magnetic induction of a field. Neither the copper in your home nor plastic are able to shield the magnetic field this device was made to create. More than anything it will help stop new deposits but over time it will slowly remove accumulated minerals.

that is a logical explanation.
