+MATTAUM Thanks for the comment. He is a participant, not a guest or instructor. So I have no information about it. And now I checked his own uploaded videos on web, but there is no movie about the knot. Maybe that's his original one.
I'm very sorry, but I can't introduce the participant's web link without his permission. And the channel is japanese site and has japanese registration system. So I think it's difficult to watch from outside of Japan.
+darren tay Thanks for the comment. Yeah, this is exactly Kono Yoshinori sensei on the thumbnail. We are in his (and many other notable sensei-s) care often. Sorry for no English subtitles.
Yeah, this is "Hayashizaki ryu Practice meeting" right. But this movie is "guest's enbu" movie, NOT Hayashizaki ryu enbu or practice movie. If you want to see Hirosaki-Han-Den-Hayashizaki-shin-muso-ryu, please see Part1 movie of the same day in my acount. Then, one of the purpose of the Hayashizaki practice meeting, is making cultural exchange with other school exciser through Hayashizaki-ryu technique and each participant's shcool technique. So there is many sensei-s exists. (by the way, I'm not the promotor of the meeting, one of the participants...)
居合文化研究会 Bカメラ Interesting... By the way, do you guys use alot of hip and sayabiki to pull out a nodachi? I assume that ending in hanmi posture is normal?
yeah, without much sayabiki, we can't draw the nodachi. That's so long. (but 1st generation of the iai, like Tamiya-ryu they were using nodachi like the movie) Hanmi posture of the noutou, the tip of the katana is pointing on the enemy's eye as he can stab, so the body is hanmi.
