Hello friend, good video, a question, I have a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer EX but I wanted to know If the front bumper of the 2016 EX fits it too? I mean, do they have the same clips or do they change?
Thanks for the vid guys, the 3 vids helped me remove my front bumper on my '17 Lancer to install some new headlights. After reinstalling the bumper I noticed there was some sag in the bumper under the headlight on the drivers side (JDM Model) - any tips on getting a flush fit? I installed exactly as you guys did - ensuring the white brackets under the headlights were secured. Should I consider replacing the side brackets and white brackets that clip in under the headlights? There was already a slight sag it is just worse now. Thanks in advance
Hello and thank you! We're glad the videos helped. If your bumper is sagging, it's because it's not latching onto something. Check to see if the brackets are broken, check to see if you can push the headlight out a bit more. You may want to check your bumper rebar/support. Make sure that is not pushed in or bent. I think the front/rear bumpers also have plastic supports in the middle. Make sure those are secure or not broken too. Good luck!
We're not 100% sure but I believe the brackets are the same across the different models. To check, call your local Mitsubishi and ask them for the part number using your VIN. Thanks for watching!
hey ya, does the white bracket of bumper that goes in underneath the headlight hooks into the headlight? or does it goes into the rectangle hole of the headlight? thanks
We're not sure but I would just call your local Mitsubishi and ask them for the price using your description. They can give you the actual name and price. Or, you can look at diagrams online. Thank you for watching!
Are you referring to the license plate? The customer asked not to put the bolts in there. She liked it without the license plate drilled in. I think she got a different style bracket. You can use the same bolts with a screwdriver and some force. You could also drill a small hole then make the holes bigger by screwnig in the bolts. Thank you for watching!
@@centycents Hey. We didn't change out the crash bar bc the customer didn't have the money to replace it. We did put in the single bolt above the crash bar at 6:15. If that is not it, please give the time on the video.
You can buy generic ones at Autozone/O"Riley type stores, junk yard (if you're lucky to find them) or you can get them at the dealership. We recommend the dealership because they'll give you exactly what you need at a similar price. Thanks for watching!
Hello! The fenders and hood go from 2008-2017. So, its very possible. The bumpers look to be the same shape. We recommend double and triple checking with Lancer forums to be sure. The headlights might be the same shape but the part numbers change bc of the bulb, or new look. Good luck!
@@ReveMoto have tried, but its sort of mis alligned and didnt sit well on the part of the headlight there was a slight gap. Will mod and move the two welded metal brackets infront, at the area of the plate number is.
Do you know if you can put an evo x bumper on a 2016 lancer? I know they say its too wide but I saw someone else manage to get one on their lancer but it was a little older like a 2011. So I guess what I'm asking is the 2016 model more or less the same as the older models from a cosmetic standpoint?
We always recommend checking the forums. I think you can but you would need to also get the grilles and maybe the headlights and a new hood. Thank you for watching!
@@ReveMoto I tried to go through the forums but couldn't find anything too helpful. Not sure if I was looking in the right place though😂🤦♂️, for some reason I'm having a tough time trying to find a clear answer if the 2016 front bumper is the same as the older ones. Some front bumpers say 08-15 and some say 08-17 and some 16-17 not sure if thats because of potentially different fog lights or what. I dont know a lot about cars but want to learn more. I am looking at a 2016 lancer but want to make sure I can do some cosmetic upgrades just like the older ones before I buy it. My dream car is an evo but they are pretty spendy so im saving up and trying to get a lancer and add some cosmetic changes to make it look more like an evo, I know I know im going to be "that" guy but I think that is a good alternative for me. I'm a photographer so I am prioritizing how the car looks over speed and race performance as of right now 😂👍
@@tylerjordan7457 I would start by cross-referencing the part numbers. I think the evo fenders are the same shape but they have vents on them, so they will come up as different numbers. I think the hoods are the same shape too. I'm not sure about the headlights. I would look at every forum there is. The last thing you want are parts that won't fit and you cant return them, but I think it's possible. Good luck!
@@ReveMoto okay thank you so much! So if the part numbers are different then they arnt compatible? It says the the older lancer front bumper like the 2011 and 2012 ones have a different part number then the 2016 one. So would that mean it would be a lot more difficult to fit?
Hello. If your bumper keeps popping out, it means that either the clips on the bumper are broken, or the bumper retainer/bracket is broken. You probably have to replace the bracket, they are usually held on by a screw or two. They also usually run about $30, give or take, from the dealership. Let us know if that works!
Hello, I believe the only difference is the fog light styles. All lancers have fog lights, either the "tear drop" shape in this video or the thin horizontal lights. I believe you can buy fog light covers/caps, but the hole is still there. Everything else should be the same. Of course, the Evo has a different center grille & fog lights. Hi Alex - great question! No, in this video we're working on this 2016-2017 Lancer front bumper www.revemoto.com/products/2016-mitsubishi-lancer-front-bumper-painted. But, if you're looking at a 2008-2015 model you're looking at a bumper that looks like this www.revemoto.com/products/2015-mitsubishi-lancer-front-bumper-painted. Are you looking to swap it out?
Hello Sijal. Please check out our link below for the bumper. If you are referring to the replacement, it takes about 2 hours and mechanics typically charge anywhere from $50+ and hour. Thank you for watching! bit.ly/2016LancerFrontBumper
It does appear to be very similar in design, but not 100% sure as we have not converted that model. Let’s us know it is though when you do the conversion
