That’s a very sad situation. That car lost all its coolant on impact and the driver kept on driving with an overheated engine. It’s that simple. Like they say: ‘It’s toast’!
@@mysterygarageCA man I wish I would have seen this earlier I ordered one from the dealer… I bought a civic that was in an accident and the timing cover broke thanks for the video I wanted to make sure the timing cover came off without messing with the chain great video 👍
@@mysterygarageCA hey I ordered the cover but the dealer gave me the 1.5 one is it at all possible that I can still get that cover sorry if I already asked but I didn’t see my comment so I thought maybe it didn’t send
Hey bother I have a question. I have a 2016 civic exactly same engine as this one. I have a cylinder 4 misfire. I changed all 4 plugs and all 4 coils.. works nice for a day or two and then get the cylinder 4 misfire again. I opened the fuel injectors, 4th one was a little dirty… cleaned it up and swapped with cylinder 3. I turn the car on and it’s smooth. After a 10 minute ride, I turn off the car and turn it back on, back to misfiring on cyl 4. What else could it be? I did everything I possibly can. Is there anything else that I can check before giving up and going to a mechanic?
Check your electrical connections, do a compression test, and make sure you gapped the plugs properly, if the problem continues, you are gonna have to see a mechanic.
@@mysterygarageCA Where are you located? and one thing to add, I do lose quite a bit coolant without any leaks. Is it possible i have a headgasket problem? Is the misfire related to that? Every 100 miles i lose about 1-2quarts of coolant.
Turned out to be a head gasket unfortunately. I used the head gasket sealer from auto zone it worked! I know it’s not the best fix but honestly it worked like magic
