Well, here we are at the end of another successful year. Despite what many people may say about how awful 2016 was, for me, 2016 was one of the best years of my life. I accomplished so much in 2016 such as: buying a new car, transferring to SDSU, finishing my educational requirements for a California licensed salesperson, made some freaking awesome new friends, turned 21, went on my own vacation, turned up way too much, resigned from my horrid office job, and passed all my major core classes. What I’m most proud of from what happened this year was that I overcame my anxiety and PTSD. The overwhelming joy that I no longer feel plagued from feeling held back and restricted from thinking and doing the things that I want to do without the fear of it ending in negative repercussions such as an anxiety attack or going senile is beyond what you may call happiness.
2016 was entirely a year full of adventure. I expanded into different counties and neighborhoods and definitely got way out of my comfort zone. For me this was a major accomplishment because I don’t do this as a full time job. I’m a full time college student, who also works part time, while being a social butterfly. All of this is kind of like a side job that acts as a stress reliever and a good little hobby from here and then when I feel I need to escape. At least that’s what my friends interpret it as, since we all have our own escapes in life.
TheTrashman97 was able to produce over 55 videos this year, that’s a little more than one video per week. When reviewing all the videos that was uploaded this year, I wanted to make a short video that contained maybe one clip or two from each video that was uploaded. However, I was having a little bit of trouble finding a song to choreograph the video to. I wanted to use a whole bunch of different songs, but it wasn’t until I settled on my favorite song, You and I by Lady Gaga.
Gaga revealed in an interview that every time she would/she sings the song she gets emotional. To me, I feel that emotion in this song and I honestly think that’s another reason why I absolutely love this song. I use music as a coping mechanism, and this song for sure has helped me to be free and release from my highest highs to my lowest lows. Don’t know how many of you are Gaga fans, but I do own every one of her albums and she is one of my favorite artists.
The video took little over two hours to make, and it works in chronological order from January to December showcasing at least one truck from each upload. It was easier for me to work on the project like that. Fun Fact: I made the video in a form of procrastination from me having to write a 10-page single space proposal.
Lastly I leave you with this…
I may not produce videos comparable to other users, but if there’s one thing I really learned and, realized in 2016, is, what I have come to love, is providing entertainment in my own form and my own eyes to those who show an interest. I may not have the best videos on RU-vid or the most exciting, but with every view that one of my videos receives, it gives hope that I’m providing happiness and entertainment to someone else. It’s something I enjoy and it’s in my personality. I tell my friends straight up all the time “I love making you smile.” And me providing videos for you all to enjoy is another way I make others smile by providing them with some form of entertainment.
2016 was a great year, I hope 2017 is even better and full of more exciting surprises. Happy New Year Everyone and enjoy #GarbageTruckSongs #GarbageTruckMusicVideo
