Tom Brady's 15-2 Patriots host Big Ben's 13-5 Steelers, to decide which franchise will advance to an NFL-record 9th Super Bowl, in the first postseason meeting between the teams since 2004.
I flew from Ft Bragg NC to Mass to watch this. I’m a Steelers fan but seeing how much they dominated us and just seeing Tom Brady play on a big stage was amazing to see in person.
17:52 "Easy.... JORDAN, JORDAN, JORDAN!" Responding to their leader the offense suddenly changes formation. Excitement and anticipation can be heard rising from the crowd. The snap... and then _that_ happened. I'm more of a Patriots fan than I am of any individual player, but this was one of my favorite Brady moments.
I skipped this game entirely. I knew no fucking way Steelers would even come close to winning this game. Probably the first NFL playoff game I had missed in 15 years.
The Steelers the week prior beat Kansas City by not scoring a touchdown. Ben wasn’t playing all that well, and the Defense was outmatched. The outcome was already decided. When Bell got injured the first series, the Steelers were finished. Le’Veon Bell literally carried the Steelers to that AFC title game.
@@JimBob-jo2jg umm 2009, 2010, 2014 divisional round, 2015, 2016 divisional round and 2017! not to mention rodgers and the packers won the super bowl in the cowboys stadium lol if that's not own the cowboys then idk what is.
As a Commanders fan I never wanted this game but I’m going back and watching old Brady games and I respect the heck out of Mike Tomlin and the Steelers Organization. Three Coaches in 54 years and 6 championships. The Patriots did it so fast but without Brady they are who they always where. Steelers have done it with plentiful players and HOF’s. You take out Belichicks years with the team and you have a mediocre franchise that shouldn’t have even stayed in Mass in the first place. Edit: I’m not hating on the Patriots here I love what Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft has done for that team. Brady and then where a three headed machine. People will come around and finally start to realize how crazy dominant the patriots where from 2001-2019. Even up the the last season they had a chance
Be quite CoMmAnDeRs fan. Talking about mediocre franchises and you're a damn Redskins fan, lol. Other than one decade (80's), your team has done nothing.
oh I see what you're saying. I thought you were hating when you made that comment that , without Brady the patriots are who they always were," I disagree, I think the owner really fucked us. he did, had he not interfered Jimmy garopolo would have transitioned seamlessly into the starting position and Brady would have been traded to Cleveland for 3 first round picks. it would have been the ultimate belichick move. instead Brady went to Kraft to complain about all he'd done for the organization and after a really heated day-night meeting that went over bill was finally forced to concede and trade Jimmy garopolo instead.... To the 49ers for a 2nd rd draft pick. bill was quoted as saying after "we've become the Cleveland browns without a succession plan. A year later Brady would walk out the front door leaving the team exposed. As per kraft's orders... No draft picks for Brady. let him walk.... Thanks Kraft.... For nothing! And Jimmy would pilot the 49ers to the superbowl
It's because they always played zone defense. Brady eats that shit up. The amazing part was despite being killed each year and seeing other teams have some modest success against Brady, they made absolutely 0 changes.
i would say the loss to the jags in the regular season, the playoffs and the touchdown called off against the patriots lol look at the steelers now. nothing but filled with dramas and divas xD
I know the Pats are a dynasty but I just could not figure why the Steelers couldn’t be more competitive with them. Like, the Steelers were really good yet it felt like lesser teams got the occasional Pats win more they did.
matchups, and the Steelers took forever to quit the basic 3-4 zone and start learning how to draft guys that could play man coverage - they were about 5 years behind the curve. Then, they did start beating them towards the end of Ben's career - not enough balance on offense come playoff and they got the doors blown off them by team's that could run the ball. Then, Ben's injury and arm dried up with age and they couldn't pass more than 5-15 yards down field. Stack the box, game over.
And ironically they always had the colts number, including with Peyton manning. Couldn’t beat teams like New England and Denver in particular for some reason
Roethlisberger, Haley and Tomlin should've known that the Patriots were gonna double team AB. Without Martavis Bryant, Pittsburgh's other receivers did not scare the New England defense
20:08: The 3rd and 5 TD pass to Hogan: WHAT A BLOCK by David Andrews on Shazier and James White FLATTENING Lawrence Timmons! Just OUTSTANDING offensive line play and pass protection!
@@Leeedy_1brady and the pats will shred the steeler's secondary! you're coming to the gillette stadium this time son! it'll be savage for the steelers to see the patriots reveal their 6th super bowl banner in front of their faces! xD
Love these @bartsimpson! Any chance we could get Patriots Falcons week 7 2017 regular season full game? I remember the fog being crazy that game. Thanks!
The miss to Coates on 3rd and 1 at the 6:54 mark was the key moment in the game. Steelers convert that: perhaps they score and they build confidence on offense. Instead, they fail and the offense never gets going.
Amazing how the Steelers always had better players- not even close- but almost never beat Brady over 20 YEARS! Course now that Brady is gone to TB- Steelers must be dancing in the streets. The end of the 20 year complete and total domination is over- you lucky Steelers!
Pittsburgh sadly couldn't take advantage of Brady leaving the AFC since the Killer B's had either left town (Bell & Brown) or become painfully washed (Ben) at that point.
I'd like to point out Brady played with some great guys like forc real u love Brady an I'm so thankful but we had some really great players gronkowski might be top 10 player as well Jules was very good to great Wes Troy was great. Vince Seymore Willie law to name a handful but not even close to all of c them ... pit to but let's not get crazy . Also Ben Gave away your plays because he is sloopy
Maybe for 1-2 seasons. For this long it's impossible for any modern team to be this dominant. Not unless they luck out and find another Brady. Or at least a Mahomes.
@@chandlersbryant4047 Fair enough but he made that clutch catch that put them in field goal range but Shanahan decided to be a fucking idiot and throw the ball.
3Q you got a really bad defenseless receiver call. First penalty of the game on a 2nd down where pats didnt look like they were going to convert on 3rd down. Few plays later Brady fumbles officials dont look like they had any interest in reviewing the play ball stays w NE. Really changes ths complexion of the game
Can u upload Giants vs Eagles 2010 not Miracle at the Meadowlands but the Sunday Night one when Eli fumbled and LeSean McCoy ran for a 50 yard touchdown on 4th and 1
3 afc championship meetings in 15 seasons, 3 controversies. Spy gate in the first two. Jesse james caught it and the game should’ve been in Pittsburgh in the last one. Eff the pats forever.
Being at this game was just like being at all the conference championship games it's an amazing feeling, the excitement and nervousness at the same time especially after coming up short in this spot the year before. We've never had a problem with Pittsburgh so I wasn't really worried and before I knew it we were going to our 9th SB. Hogan played great and Blount had his famous pile move... great times
