I am not sure what the heck GM was trying to accomplish by making the seat like they did. Not so much of an issue on driver side but wife has bad back and this will save her back. Thanks for the video.
After attempting this with a grinder (and stopping after going slow), do not do this without preparing WAY more than shown here. You need to cover all parts of the seat that could get the hot metal flakes. Luckily during my quick attempt the only thing hit was only on an unseen part, and that was after covering way more than shown in the video.
Been waiting for someone to make a vid helping explain this mod, Can you use a drill too? I seen it on forms that people use drills and not grinders.. Also May we see a vid of how it functions now?
I tried a drill , and it was horrible . Both my batteries died on drill and u need a really good bit . I got a grinder and got it done 10xs faster . Just gotta b very careful
