Paddle shifters rule.. while I love my manual Porsche, my new Mustang and this new Stingray make you feel like a LeMans champion slamming thru gear changes on the steering wheel. Love this Channel!

I own a 2016 Stingray, manual, with every option except z51. This is my third Corvette. I can tell you the video does not do the car justice. I started many years ago in a TR3, then at 17 I got a 59 c1, owned a 260 and 280z, a C5 and finally this C7. It is the fastest, best sounding, best looking vehicle I have ever driven. It has an exotic howl when you let it loose. Play nice and you get 30mpg. The smell is all leather and suade. The manual doesn’t shift like a c2 69, cut it still feels good through the gates. No track ever for my car, so no z51. Don’t like the dry sump or the five extra quarts of syn oil. Great Bose system, self contained WiFi, nice nav and On Star is great to have on a trip. 15cubes of hatch storage. People generally don’t mess with you except the younger guys, but you’ll only get cut off by a soccer mom. Mag suspension just glues the car in the twisted. I had it on Skyline Drive and it is scary how tight this thing holds a turn. My advice, save your pennies, eat out less often, treat you wife right get to know some Vette boys. You can’t go wrong with this wonderful car. Come on, get one before your too damn old to enjoy it.
You can bag on the automatic transmission all you want, but it puts up better times than the manual. That's why supercar manufacturers rarely provide a manual option anymore. Dual clutch transmissions (which the Corvette doesn't have) smoke manuals.
I still don't understand what ppl have against automatic..... It lets you focus more on actually driving than worrying about when to switch gears, and what's wrong with American cars anyway, they've beaten foreign cars at a lot of things
Absolutely nothing wrong with an automatic. If it's your daily driver. Not in a corvette. Especially when GM used a torque converter. The shifts are still slow. And get slower the longer you beat on the car LOL. Manual or dual clutch auto or nothing.
I know man. "You're not cool unless you have a manual" that's what I hear lol. Some people are ridiculous. I myself prefer automatic. I only manually shift when I'm riding my quad and that's it.
***** An automatic does let you focus more on the road and less on switching gears. I drive manual and i always put it in neutral when i see shit coming up on the road. Automatic is a lot easier, but i dont mind double clutching. It's just more tiresome overall.
+Notorious HZ Rent one from Enterprise if you live close enough to one of their exotic locations. I did it for my birthday last year and it blew my mind. It was like 300$ a day but it was worth every penny.
For those who are bashing on automatic because it isnt a stick grow up i am a truck driver and i drive a 10 speed or more it doesnt take skills its easy and for those of us who live in los angeles county like me driving stick in traffic isnt fun at all i rather take automatic its tiring driving stick at work 12 hr shifts 6 days a week just to go home and shift some more i got myself a mustang gt auto and love popping it in drive and not worry about shifting anymore just saying.
Can’t believe ya have almost one million views from a regular C7 Convertible. I’ve got a Z06 C7-R.. I think I need to make some videos soon because the regular C7 has nothing on the Z06.
Dear winding road, i actually enjoy watching you thrash on normal cars rather than sports cars. So maybe take an MPV or something and do a midnight drive haha
It's not my fav type of model I prefer much more the coupè version and manual. I know the automatics are faster than some manual nowadays and a lot more comfortable. Everytime I watch these new Vettes I feel so in love for the great result of designering.
I love how clean your videos look. But I wanted to ask, what you guys do to get clean shots. Cause I have a go pro sessions I bought to get p.o.v shots when driving, but it usually ends up being over exposed. do you guy have any settings via the camera or editing, or do you just do your drives when it's not super bright out?
what I understand from your pov videos is that it is very unnecessary to buy a sports car in us cause you cant drive them faster than a stock honda civic because of the strict speed limits
+Lovejazz01 you don't want the type of women that get with you just because you have a car like this. I tell bitches I make minimum wage even though I make 30 dollars an hour just to see how they react
+Kemal AYHAN Well you can sure get to the speed limit a lot faster than a Civic...and lets be honest here...even non-enthusiasts break the speed limit just a bit. Pretty much every driving enthusiast worth his salt has opened their car up on a secluded backroad. And then there are twisties where even a 55mph speed limit can be fun.
+Adam S (Dolby109) From my experience driving a couple of short stretches of highway daily the worst speeding offenders are trucks, suv's, and minivans; none of which are designed for it. As an enthusiast I shake my head daily as all of the aforementioned vehicles zoom past me daily.
Very nice and competent car. I think Chevrolet should up the game with a proper instrument cluster like the ones on the Porsches. Even the infosystem looks like the ones from the 30K/40 K cars. The Mustang interior is much nicer.
Horse Power You I agree the Camaro is a wicked machine. But wasn't the 50th Anniversary like $50k for basically an SS with some different badges? That's too much for a camaro imho
