That rear access open warning on the instrument panel was from when you hit the bottom left button on the key fob x2, it opens just the rear glass on the lift gate so you can put groceries (or whatever) in without fully opening the lift gate. Hitting the bottom right button x2 opens the lift gate. Very nice feature Chevy put on the Tahoe.
