I'm sold getting mine done within the week. Went with 12" double walled slanted tips in black chrome. It's amazing how well it sounds & such a ashame they are muffled
Bro I agree it is not straight piped lol they only removed the 3rd cat, It is a true dual system though. This is closer to it than some of their videos because they at least removed one of the cats. They have videos of "straight piped" crown vics which they dont touch any of the cats lmao, just muffler and resonator delete.
1.Keep the manifold cats delete the third 2. Increase diameter to 3" 3. Eliminate the Y pipe run true dual 4. Put a X pipe 6" behind the transmission crossmember 5. Run 3" straight back for 6' 6. Run two 3in3out Vibrant resonators at the end with two turn down tips just before the rear end. This was the best of 17 different exhaust systems that were tried on a 2016 5.3 2wd Silverado, this is the only setup that gained any power without losing the bottom end. Classic Horsepower sound out of a stock motor, no popping and clapping
37 hillbillies in the front seat & all their arms hanging out the window. Doesn't sound terrible, but really bad fits. As long as Bubba likes it & paid for it with his EBT card, guess it's all good.
Brian Bustamante I mean if you don’t like loud noises obviously it will be to loud but I have to exact setup on my truck and I can drive hours just listening to it.
mike cogley i know but it’s one single pipe for both banks you don’t need piping that big for true duals on a 5.3 that’s when you start loosing power down low
If you have a 14-18 Silverado it will have the 5.3 l eco 3 motor and sound the exact same. I have a 15 Silverado and it sounds identical. If u remove ur third cat it will be much louder.
@@anthonypagano2234 I have an 08 with true duals and only the two stock cats on it and it isn't as loud. Thinking about doing high flow cats. Maybe then I'll get the sound I want.
Hey how’s it going I got a 2016 Silverado 5.3 my exhaust sounds like a fart can lol I can get you pictures but it sounds like shit compared to my hemi likes there’s no throatiness to it
3rd cat has to be deleted or it can’t be true dualed so if it’s true dualed 3rd cat is out. So he must have deleted it prior to you guys doing the exhaust work because any Chevy truck 09 and newer had a 3rd cat after the 2 cats and after the the stock y pipe up front. If u true dualed it with a 3rd cat u would have 2 cats on one side and only one on the other wouldn’t work lol
Correct me if I'm wrong. But I have this same exact truck and I just had a flowmaster super 10 installed single in dual out and my resonator deleted I see no cats under his truck.
