Let me tell you thank you so much for doing this video Dup! I followed your video and I turned off "Car Play". I also restarted it and its worked like a charm thank you so much I thumbs up. Kind of sad that mines a Honda Civic Touring 2017 and still that issue hasnt been fixed, but now its just perfect!
I know this comment is a year old and you probably have found a solution by now but it's the artwork from the albums that is the problem. I used to have the skipping issues as well and then removed all of the artwork from every single album and no skipping since. I've also found that the Civic doesn't like anything that is in 48khz so if you have anything like that, change it to 44. These songs don't skip if the artwork is removed but the audio really off pitch and slow, especially vocals.
To be clear, it seems that turning off either car play or android really corrected your issue? You performed a "reboot" after the system was already working correctly? I have an issue with BT and the phone..... where, voice recognition (making a call by name)... doesn't work.... Pressing the phone key on the wheel to make the call, the car, never recognizes a simple name like "Karen" correctly. I removed and reinstalled the phone and phone book a couple of times.. No good..... I even stumbled on the reboot of the system, no difference... I may try turning android on and off.. just to see if this corrects the problem...
I have a '17 with this problem. Shutting off carplay and or android auto didn't work for me. Doing the soft reset worked though. It may just be a temporary fix, but I'll take it. As long as it doesn't hurt the system to be rebooted frequently.
