2016 F150 Door Lock Knob Sticks 

Great video. I unscrewed the lock knob and pulled out the black hole cover. A little work with an exacto knife to remove burs and some grease. Good as new. Thank you

Thanks for this video! Had the same issue with my front door, thought I needed a new actuator. I took a slightly different approach, instead of removing the door panel I just unscrewed the black lock indicator. That gave me enough room to work a small file in the hole and grease it all up

I was able to spray WD40 to lube the door plunger without taking apart the door panel. So far it worked fine. Thank you for the video and the idea!!!

I Have a very similar issue on my Driver door on my 2015. Its been this way since i got it back from the shop after an accident. Rear door is funky too. Your video should be very helpful, well done and thank you!

Great video and thank you for posting...Yes sir I was having an issue with my rear door locks not locking all the way on my 2017 Ford F150.The door knobs would not go down all the way to lock. So I screwed the door knobs off because they were shaped different than the front ones. That eliminated the problem of the rear doors not locking. So I figured I would take the front door knobs off and insert them in the rear to see if that made a difference because they were shaped different - smooth as a bullet. Well now, those will not screw in. I ordered new doorknobs on Amazon and hopefully, they will screw on. If not, I have to do what you did!

I have a 2016 F150 Lariat 4x4 and my front passenger door does this but it seems at times it doesn't even try to unlock so IDK I'm not sure what the problem is but I'll give this a go thanks for the video!!

I’m having this same issue with my drivers door . Makes me sick that I only have 18,000 miles on my 2016 lariat ,as this just shouldn’t be happening. Mine works fine though at times,and at other times it just nudges up a little regardless of using the remote or door code on the pillar , well and trying the passenger side door switch . I hope it’s just a lubrication issue,but for some reason I suspect the actuator is on its way out ,or could it be a potential problem in the harness ? Anyways I’ll try lubricating it first and see if it helps. It’s scheduled at Ford soon,so maybe I’ll save money and this will fix it . Does seem strange that it’s intermittent though ?

im having the opposite problem. the back door wont lock. The knob feels like its stick and wont go up or down. Im wondering if its the same problem

Good video. It looks like the boot that keeps moisture out and also serves as a guide for the pull piece was out of place. That could have been pushing it out of alignment.

I'm having a similar problem on my '01 F150. I've been hearing that this has been a common problem with Fords for a long while. I'll definitely give your fix consideration when I tear into mine. (All 4 doors are affected) Thanks for the video!

Just happened to me 2017 model,driver side door not locking,pess the unlock bottom on the remote few times got back to normal.

Having the same problem with my driver's door. No broken window.

Same issue with mine on both sides Ford has a alert out but my local dealer wouldn’t help me
