This instruction video was well done. I got the serial number from a ford dealership and went on ebay to get the unit. I suspect junk yards will also carry the unit. It took me about an hour to install , test , and finish. Cost me around 75 dollars. Much thanks for putting this excellent video together!
My 2018 explorer won’t even allow me into the audio tab, I can tap it and it shows it’s responding to the touch, but it’s still not doing anything, fuses are fine. I DID JUST swap the battery because it was dead (very cold winter week, -48•C)
Sent mine to automotive circuit solutions got it back in about a week and it works and comes with a lifetime warranty. Why replace it with the same defective unit? It seems like they are all failing from the little research I did.
You will need to match the part number on the one in your car, to a new (used) one. You will have to pull it out first to see what the serial # is on the one in the car
