I am a car enthusiast but this is the first video of yours I came across, watched it till the last second and subscribed. Great job out there, you definitely made me fall in love again with the F type
+Darsh Jain Welcome to the channel! We're glad you enjoyed it :) The F-Type is most definitely an amazing machine, we can't wait to get our hands on other variants to show you guys.
I own a f-type v6 S and test drove the V8 today. It's insane the S is crazy loud , the V8 is absolutely insane. Great review. Gives you real feel. Keep up the great work!
Hey, fellow F type owners. Yea it's brutally quick. 2015 R with RWD, it will rip it in 2nd gear at more than half throttle haha. I hear Michelin 4S tires are a big upgrade over the stock Pirellii P Zeros for better grip, I'll be upgrading when I use these up.
Great car. No need to compare it to a Corvette. The Jaguar is out of the Corvette's league. I have had 3 Corvettes and one XF Jaguar. I take the Jaguar in for service once a year at no cost. The Corvettes went in about once a week with no loaner and a couple days to repair any minor problems.
The V8 gets 29 mpg hwy in 8th. Also, a $700 Racechip GTS Black works seamlessly, Dynos at 630 HP. Add a $200 supercharger pulley for a cool 652 HP Dyno, the ZF8 is good to 800 HP.
As a current owner.. Cannot tell you how amazing this car looks and drives... Everyone everyday looks at it.. You just dont see a lot of them on the road.. I like it that way..I let. Every valet driver take it for a spin.. Why?... Why not.. We only live once.. Peace ✌️
Maan I love the F-Type exterior design and interior styling...very impressed with Jaguar. And yes that exhaust sounds soo good, very similar to Ferrari
I have the 2018 F Type V8 and love it! I have all the extra packages and very pleased with it. I agree the stereo needs updating. My car is actually in the shop for almost 2 weeks now due to the recall of the stereo where they had to order a part from the UK. Hope to get it back this week. Love driving this car♥️
Thanks Buddy. You killed it on the description of all the areas that someone would need to know about the what and why if this car. Thumbs up to you. Really appreciate it!
Great review of the car. It has always been one of my favorite sports cars The look of the car as you mentioned is beautiful The performance is awesome So I bought one this week now that it is affordable at less than half price It is a mint condition White exterior with red /black interior Low mileage It does have the carbon fiber 20 inch wheels with the red calipers brakes I didn't want the ceramic brakes Thank you for the great review and inspiring guys like me to buy one
Thank you for the informative review! You really helped us decide to get the R Coupe. We've had it for two weeks and I cannot get enough drive time, it is so much fun!
I love to see your smile and hear your chuckle while accelerating. I do the same thing with my 2015 R Coupe. This is the most fantastic car I have ever owned! Unfortunately in Southern California, the traffic is so heavy that I haven't been able to go faster than 121 before I have to slow down. I am going to trade it in for the 2016 XJ as soon as my order goes through because my back is not in good shape and I need more comfort. I am SO glad that I bought it but it has to go. :-(
Great review! You captured all the relevant points. Manufacturer's 0-60 mph is a very conservative number. Having owned and driven many cars, my F type V8S convertible is a car that consistently makes me smile and laugh when driving it ! It is just so fast and with the 2WD version I have, requires my attention at all times. Even now, I laugh every time I floor it. The only point I would make as a mechanical engineer is that you should refer to torque values in lb-ft please :-)
I have the V8R convertible here in the UK. If you drive it in snow/rain mode you can get 38MPG , however if you drive it how it should be then you'll get about 8!
that is a beautiful car if I could afford one i would love to get one everything is wonderful about this car there is like nothing bad about this car beside the RWD version the AWD is a better choice for a 550HP V8 supercharged great review!!!
Well done review... I've been watching this car for awhile and thinking of purchasing. .. you made it more easy. I love Brian cooley's reviews but you was right on spot! Great job sir
I have a RWD V8 in rainy Britain, it's absolutely fine. It can be a bit slow off the line in the wet, but it's tons of fun and not at all unpredictable.
Such a disappointment on that interier. They should've broken that up with some color and taken that stitch on the seats to the dash. Also those pop up vents are one more thing to break. A car like that shouldn't have to resort to cheap tricks. GREAT VID MY MAN, KEEP CLIMBING!!!!
I agree, I have one. Interior is just OK imo. Car is flat out sick. Those smiles and laughs - After 3 years of ownership, still getting them. Just bought a 2020 V8!!
You guys get speeding tickets? Her in BC, Canada if we go 40 km above the speed limit, so lets say the speed limit was 50 km, and I went to 90 km for a few seconds and get caught, the cops tow our car to the impound and hold it for a week. Yes, thats quite horrible.
This is literally one of the greatest reviews. I am planning to buy this car but I've decided to wait until new models come out hoping they can fix a few of the minor flaws, add a 7 speed manual for the F-Type R Model. Please make sure you send this to Jaguar and make sure the design team views this video. It points out things that would make this car the greatest thing in the world.
The convertible is sooooooooo much louder to the driver. The RWD version is wickedly faster than the AWD: its 300 lbs lighter with half the transmission losses for about 25% more WHP to weight.
Thx for pointing that out. I'm trying to decide which model to get, the S or R or the XF. I love the exhaust sound so whichever gives me that pleasure is pretty much the way I'm going to go. The only thing I dislike is the crackle of the exhaust. I like a steady roar, the crackle reminds me of the olden days when your timing was off...Lol
Matt has done the best job of capturing the mid-range RPM sound (listen in between accelerations, though he never really gets on it) and the magic of the RWD cars. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t5SZVLnywhQ.html
HI Sandy, Sunday I got the 2017 F type coupe( scared of Convertibles)nothing extra as I'm ok with the power that even that model has. I was tempted with leasing the F-type SVR 8 cy, but at under 8000 miles on that 2017, and 2 1/2 years of warranty left for $40,000 ($3000 off)wasn't bad. I do agree the RWD is Niiiice !!! Thx for the advice tho. www.carfax.com/vehicle/SAJWA6AT3H8K37955
@@lucky-zb8tj Hi...I've come to like it a bit more as now that is what these cars do. My Hubby showed me some Lambo's that crack the engine as it roared so I'm beginning to accept it. I found a great deal on a 2017, base type with just 7000 miles for $40.000. Loving it. Be sure to get one with a backup camera, That whole backend is a blind spot.
Good looking car, great sound. Most people prefer a bullet proof car at its price point, no matter how good it looks. Wonder how many owners looked on as a Porsche passed by their stranded Jag?
It makes sense for it to get 30mpg or more. When engines are idle, regardless of the size and piston count, theyre burning virtually no fuel. All the pistons are doing is keeping motion at a minimum. So if the car is traveling at close to idle speeds without anything other factors pushing it back, the engine can be relaxed and burn small fuel amounts.
Excellent review as always! I'm seriously considering this car.. compared the base model and S model vs Porsche Cayman Base and S model, and this car is by far faster and louder. It handles exceptionally well, but not as well as the Porsche. I'm really curious why @redlinereviews chose the Cayman GTS over this for his personal ride ;-)
I think the level of in car tech is alright. Here in the UK we get the option of blind spot assist when changing or moving out of lanes. There is also an option for reverse traffic detection with blind spot monitoring and closing vehicle sensing. I doubt you would want adaptive cruise on a beast like this, and with stop start tech you can keep your emissions minimal...ish! Great video though :) mine comes in September!

Had one come in for a quick tire inspection at my shop , only got to to drive it to the shop and back into the parking lot but damn these cars are amazing !!!
I like that they added AWD, but that added more weight which this car didn't need. Now I'm finding out they switched from hydraulic power steering to EPS. Damn shame. And no manual available on the V8....
If you had the chance to sit in one and fire up the engine it'll bring a tear to your head. Just an awesome exhaust. I'm a young guy but the classic E-type was something I dreamed of owning as a kid. This is that and a kick in the butt amazing. I love the comment by the reviewer - "piss of your neighbors..." with the crackling exhaust. Too funny. If I'm fortunate to buy one then I can care less. They can move. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow. God please.
Redline Reviews, and in this video Sofyan talks about the Jaguar F-Type R for 10 minutes and giggles like a school kid whilst mashing the go pedal for the other 17 minutes. :D
Podcast I follow, the parents bought a Type R. How come this car is not common? Its beautiful, sounds fantastic, reliably seems great.. what am I missing?
+sofyanbey +Redline Reviews What an absolutely great work of art review. It was impossible for you not to laugh of the start. I do understand that this car is a bargain at $120,000.00.
An interesting review, however, did you never hear of the XKR??? FROM 4.0 TO 5.0 Suprcharged (1998-2014)? The E type you quote was designated the XKE, abbreviated to E Type - note the letters XK. THIS was the replacement for the E type, after the XJS. Maybe a Jaguar history check is required here before saying factual errors
Great review!! Well done. Hopefully you'll be able to get your hands on the R's replacement the rumoured 600 HP SVR and do another review. LOVE the R. Gives cars costing double or triple a SERIOUS run for the money. And beats them IMHO. There might be faster (on paper) cars but few can offer "performance + elegance + sporty styling + sexiness" in one car. They are usually "just sporty" or "just elegant". Only other manufacttuer to offer "elegance + sportiness" would be Aston Martin. Ferrari's are IMHO "sporty + sexy"...not "elegant". Porsche 911's...sporty. This is a near faultless design Only thing I don't like is that if you opt for the carbon ceramic brakes you're forced to take the one wheel design. While ok looking is not the one I'd choose. I prefer the "carbon fibre wheel". Maybe there's an aftermarket rim out there that will fit. He brings up good points. Not rehashing what's been said. And the test was done on city roads and highways where this car will actually be driven. Not on the track. Or doing 0-60 runs. Do a review of the 2015 or 2016 911 Cayman GTS next. Or GT4. :)
