@@ryanlopez3349 I 2016 needing a Catalytic converter, warranty is paying for it 2016 did have a recall on the converter- but I checked with kua they stated it was repaired 2020 I guess not other than that I love mines

Amazingly I’m in the same situation today, I’ve been driving a 2004 Corolla since 2017 and I’m now considering getting one of these. Though I’m probably going for a Mazda 3 diesel instead

What kind of fuel economy city and highway? I would like a simple base model with the 6 speed manual likely. I also really like the manual Rio. But the Soul seems most useful. Just the lack of rear camera and less than great vision out the side back were my reservations.

Wait until about May or June, & you can buy the previous years models a bit cheaper

the only thing i hate is that even though the souls have more cubic storage than the fit, it cant store a bike upright

@@ooDirtyMickoo A lot of compact cars can't fit a bike upright. If that's what you're looking for, you shouldn't be looking at compacts or hatchbacks in general 🤷‍♀️ at least the Soul comes with standard roof rail attachments if you want after-market rails.

Very true. Sales are pretty pathetic for both the xB and the Cube last year. Unless they plan a drastic design change this'll be the last we see of them.

The XB is being replaced with another model that's going to resemble it but it's gonna be way different apparently.

Around $27k

As a general rule: don't go all-out with your first car unless you have money to burn. You don't know what kind of car you like to drive yet, and you're better off saving that money for either the future car you really want or for, well, the rest of life (college, retirement, dating, eventual apartments...).

Just buy something affordable and reliable. A base model end of year clearance is around 14k or less. Go BASE. Or, maybe a nice used 7 yr old Toyota under 8 grand?

Get a pre owned one save money that way 25 thousand miles or so I have one and its really nice

+Chris Sorreda In the long run probably better off with the Kia considering Mini's dodgy reliability record, exorbitantly high price tag for parts and maintenance, and the need to use Premium gas in the thing . I looked at both and decided on the Soul. I'm glad I did . : )

+Statimtek yeah but the soul is way slower. The mini is much faster and fun to drive and probably gets the same mpg lol

+Basic_Assumption 30,000 car with nothing on it, a 3 year warranty whose parts are obscenely expensive once it expires with a lot less space but faster. Or 27,000 for a car with higher reliability, leather ventilated seats/Nav/panoramic sunroof and a 10 year warranty but is slower. I would never choose the Beamer over my soul.

+Basic_Assumption not in agreement. To get the amenities the souls offers at its fully loaded price, you would be in the $40,000+ price area, have a lower reliability rating followed by expensive repairs after their much shorter warranty runs out, and still be in a smaller car. The only reason I would buy a 3 series BMW at $30,000 would be if I wanted an athletic car with no creature comforts. As I live in California, not a lot of chances to fully flex the cars muscles. So I would be picking the Soul over the BMW in my situation every time. Some people would want the BMW and more power to them, but for general driving and commuting, the Soul is leaps and bounds a better deal then the BMW.

+Brad Willett I like the Soul Exclaim. Fully loaded, I wish there was a tad bit more for $27k. Like dual climate and bigger engine. Other than that, I'd pay fully loaded for maybe $25k

they have the soul EV for that next year, the normal wagon continues on for 2015 with its base + and ! trims as before. the UVO infotainment system has expanded availability now, and it can come down to the base level, but its at an extra cost of $2k+automatic transmission the new wagon is made entirely of reinforced steel, the old structure would have guaranteed one of two outcomes, injury onto yourself or others, or death. it has dramatically improved for 2015 and has passed everything except for the rollover resistance test.

The Soul is not a cheap economy car like the Civic, Corolla...city car with ok cargo space. Want something small then get the Fit...if you can stand the weak underpowered engine and cheap interior. Great design for cargo but typical cheap Honda interior. Only thing Soul doesn't have is lane departure warning system and know that those can be too sensitive that friends have turned them off. Other than that Soul is pretty well equipped... I went from a SUV down to the Soul, and the Soul does get better mileage and had more creature comforts...my old 08 SUV did not have heated REAR seats or a Hard drive to store music, though it did have a CD player. Didn't have a cooled glove box as well. Had more space but don't own my champion Arabian horse anymore so don't need something to haul hay and grain.

+raul1794 I did a quick trip with the owner and I hated the Fiat. Cars passing me knocked me all over my lane and my foot struggled to feel the pedals. It's also ranks unsafe on small overlaps. The Soul did major improvements in this and now rates good to acceptable on the small overlap. I'm seriously going to trade my 2010 Wrangle AND 2007 New Beetle and drive off the lost owing may $4000.

Don't know if you ever bought one, but I have owned my 2015 for a whole year since December. My only regret was not waiting for this years model as they added a few more safety features and color options. That being said, I LOVE my soul!

I've actually seen more male drivers than female drivers with the kia soul. But based on appearance, its height would be the only characteristic it has to seem like a "girl's car" to some people

i brought a 2015 kia soul in jan. 2k15. It now has 119k miles

I bought & drive a 2012 Kia Soul slightly used. My other vehicle is a Ford F150. An last I checked in my pants, I'm a Man. After 15 years of driving my F150, a Kia Soul was as low to the ground as I could stand to get. Regular cars make me feel like my butt is dragging on the ground.

Soul does not have a 4 speed tranny like the XB, nor cheap hard plastics.

But yet it's still around 5 years later
