yeah I agree....you finally get former skaters who are actually great at commentating. most ex athletes turned commentators sound so unnatural and forced...these two are great

I'm so proud of Shane he's one of the greatest sportsmen to come out of Australia and is super successful. And yet, he get's no media attention at all down here. If it isn't AFL or NRL you don't hear about it.

Matthew Sullivan I've got some footage of shane when he was about 13 skating around some parks in OZ. It's from a really cheap dvd called FSBS, he does like kickflip manuals and 5-0 grinds. It's crazy to see how far he has come and the work he has put in.

Besides the fact the Olympics will commercialize it to a degree where people will literally only train at skateparks and an entire new breed of skaters will come out only doing tricks that will get higher points.. it will make street skating almost an entirely different sport.. atleast these guys still have street parts and have fun.. the olympics will fuel a new generation of zombie park skaters who will literally only skate parks and practice the same tricks over and over.. im honestly a little worried what its gonna do to skateboarding.. the worst is if there gonna have uniforms for the skaters too hahahaha
People were saying the exact same thing when street league first came out in 2009 or whatever, and street skateboarding hasn't stopped since then. If anything Street skateboarding has just gotten more insane. The only thing the Olympics will do to skateboarding is progress it as a whole (good and bad). And the "uniforms" are probably going to be similar to soccer jersey's, like the ones Malto and Luan wear sometimes.

shanes trick was so much more technical, but Cody Mac nollie bigger spinned what looks like a good 20 feet gap. Its not always about precision, but also about balls and just straight up gnarliness
he killed it but shanes tricks were so tech, and shane could do all those tricks cody mcentire did! Although I partially agree, because he rips 100% and deserves it and they deffs underscored a lot of his shit in the actual contest!

You're right. However there are a few female skaters I honestly enjoy watching skate and not because of their looks, it's because they're just good/nice style.
Watching this I always have to remind myself how hard this shit is. You get so used to the craziest tricks on tape that you tend to forget how hard riding switch even is, and switch tre on nosegrind shuvit out is fucking insane.

Shane a sls super crown champ. Only like 6 skaters can say they won the super crown the biggest contest of the year wit the highest paid purse as well. There’s a lot of stop winners but super crown winners not so many which is makes it special to win a super crown

God I love watching Shane skate, it’s like art, his runs are entertaining cause he throws in so much nollie and switch, flip ins and flip outs all over the place, and his street parts are incredible
