It's in my opinion the perfect all around car because you can take it off-road and if you want you have a lot of performance and my auntie has a 2015 silver GL63 AMG and I love it

not family oriented and G class is more like a stand alone luxury toy... I wouldn't buy G class for my family, GLS550 would be more than enough, but 63 is good too :) you need to know the difference
I have to be real since I have the GL550 and my dad has the Escalade, the GL is not really close to the Escalade. The GL is more a Large Crossover because of the unibody chassis similar to the ML/GLE class (X166) and the Escalade is truck based Body-on-Frame SUV (GMTK2XX) based from the Silverado and drives like a truck. The GL AMG is amazing, but the GL550 does a fine job as well for less.
SUV are essentially truck based. As they were intended, hence the key word Utility vehicle. Other makers that say they are SUV are not SUV's especially with front wheel drive, they are mini-van based. They are just copying , again on GM, Ford and Chrysler has been doing for half a century now, making SUV's. I was really shocked when Porsche started making a so called SUV. I said damn, this is getting just ridiculous. The Suburban is the longest continuances nameplate/vehicle in automotive history, They started making the real SUV suburban back in 1935 and still solidly going today.. yes, SUV are trucks, at least the real one are.
Just imagine picking up your kid's friends in this and shocking them when you floor it. This is the car I would drive if I had kids for sure (in addition to a sports car for the weekend)
Seen one of these on my block yesterday. Seems cool but the price is crazy and the gas mileage is not for families or working class. This suv is really for rich people or those who dont mind owning this over a home.
Mercedes has stepped up their game with interior quality compared to what it was in the early 2000s but they still cheap out in a lot of places for the price you pay. Much of the aluminum pieces inside are actually plastic. It may be fast but I don't think it's as special as everyone would have you believe. It will never match the class that exudes out of a Range Rover Autobiography and the Tesla Model X accelerates faster. Sofyan, let's see a review of the new Volvo XC90 and Tesla Model X.

I know the MB website has updated it to the new GLS so it should be out in the coming months. Preorder means that you can order the vehicle before it gets released to the public and can be designed the way you want.
The interior on this shit that's 2016 is the same as from years ago, Mercedes is behind on everything in its competing classes, the new BMW equivalent has way better interior and Mercedes is lacking with that shitty infotainment screen and overall crap interior quality versus the competition. The GL needs a major upgrade and all new interior like the C class and new GLE interior
