My last 3 cars have been e46 bmws. I spent so much time and money on them, you wouldn't believe. I was without a doubt a bmw enthusiast but I wanted something else for a change. And nothing sounds like a mustang, so obviously the s550 was the only thing I was interested in. I went and picked up a 2015 performance pack with a 6spd and 50k miles. One week later I lowered it on eibach springs, installed an x pipe/ roush axle back. everything you say in this video is so accurate. It's really an amazing car. I look forward to driving it to work every morning, sometimes I even take the long way there ;)
I have a 2015 mustang gt supercharged with 58,000 miles and she runs like a scolded dog. Fast as hell and not one part failure. Right out the box it’s the Fastest car I have owned
Badass! I fucking love my S550 I have a 16 GT. It's the sickest car I have ever owned. I absolutely love how it rides and it puts the power down so well especially in turns....It handles so good and I have owned a Miata and a S2000. This car brings me back to those cars except it does not have a throttle cable but put it in track mode and it feels pretty dang close if not better. It's sick how the engine responsiveness and power increases when you put the Mustang in track mode. the styling of the 15-17s is the best too in the front end..the new ones look like rental cars aside from the 2021 mach 1. Ford absolutely nailed it with the S550, I call it the Euro stang because it has european styling and that 4 valve engine is also very european. I can't see how the S650 will be better with it's new shared chassis but I guess we will see!
@@johnsimpson4542 it takes a special kind of a$$hole to know what someone is saying but call out the spelling. Maybe you were the kind of guy that sucks off the teacher. don’t be that guy
There's nothing more rewarding than seeing how much you love your ride and it really shows 😊. I was scared when I clicked on the video because of the title it had! 😂 I'm buying my very first 2019 gt in the awesome kona blue color and am soo excited to get her already!!! I've driven a friend's v6 and a 5.0 before and always wanted one but couldn't afford it at the time. But the year has come and you've made me that much more stoked on getting it 💪. Be safe out there brother 🙏
That’s how I used to be I would always bash my buddies for having mustangs but I recently bought an s550 and instantly ate my words lol I never get tired of driving it
I was a 5th and 6th gen Camaro owner and I recently switched to the Mustang gang. I used to talk really bad about mustangs but after my first drive I was sold. The experience was night and day for me. The Camaro was more of a sports car to me but the Mustang open up the world of a true muscle car. The main benefit for me is I don't have any blind spots like I had in the Camaro.
Good video man. Nice to see you actually drive and put miles on your stang. Breaks my heart when I see the guys who pride themselves on low mileage.....
Great vid good to know. Ive had my 2017 GT for a solid two yrs now. Bought it with 5 miles and it has 12k now. Good to know she will age gracefully and that. I have many more miles to go. 👍
I traded in my 2003 ford ranger for a 2016 ford mustang gt. Great car and fast too. I sure do miss sitting high off of the ground in my truck but the more I drive my mustang , the less I miss my truck. Rides, drives better, and faster than my ranger.
The stick is the way to go. I had my beloved 2006 GT convertible (black w/red interior and red stripes, lots of looks) until a guy smashed into me. I LOVED it. Had 110,000 miles and no problems. I will be getting a 2016.
Champion314 blew hot air, Evap core apparently went out at like 37k miles. Even after replacing it the ac blows hot and cold out of certain vents and the temp will fluctuate on its own
I just got a 2016 GT (also stick, but a convertible). Love that you got a stick. The stripes look great. Love driving my ‘stang. Mine also has the Performance Pack. Used, 45,000 miles, GREAT condition, $28k out the door (paid cash). I only buy used and pay cash (I don’t leverage depreciating assets). I TOTALLY loved my 2006 GT convertible (Black w/red interior), but someone smashed into me.
there's nothing wrong with having a dream car that's not a Ferrari or a Lambo. In fact, I feel that these people know more about cars than the exotic dreamers. I have a 3V S197 and my dream car is a Hakosuka Skyline
My daughter wanted a V8, stick, Mustang for her graduation/full-college ride present. Triple yellow tri-coat GT350 is what she got. Vroom-vroom....she loves her "Sunshine Voodoo Cobra Car"
@@d3w881 LoL- my "Boys" only made girls. Except for me & the dog, it's a house of girls at my place. The car happened because a buddy (whose family owns 25 dealerships all together) found her this very car at a crazy price via Ford directly
I like the first exhaust setup better. Not that the current doesn’t sound good. Can’t believe the shifter hasn’t broken with those hulk arms brother lol. Sub’d, in for the build
I am about to have my 2019 GT next Saturday. I am very excited and feeling more confident after watching this video. anyway, those guns. :+)) no homo. subbed!
Great video! I can tell you do enjoy it. I drove my 87 Mustang daily for 24+ yrs, 306k miles in Houston traffic and still enjoyed it every single day. Now I'm enjoying my 16 GT even more. And yes, they are well made. Even after being totaled a year ago, (see my video) mine is dead quiet in the interior and looks great. The only issues I've had are the puddle lamps and the steering wheel is wearing also. I hope to drive it for a good 20 yrs more. Good luck with yours!
@@OBEYALLSTARS still pretty good at 47k miles. I had to replace an EVAP solenoid under the hood for $30, the AC evaporator has a small leak (I've had to add a couple of cans of r134a over the past two years) and the suspension is clunking over speed bumps, but otherwise it is doing well.
Just saw u driving down shepherd this morning... I’m a simple guy... I see RU-vid channel on car, I go to channel, I like car and video so I subscribe lol
2016 Gt Base here too W/ Borla ATAK catback W/ X-pipe - JLT oil catch can & Saleen S302 High Flow Filter (15-19 GT) ! Just hitting 8K miles I don't drive it much ! It's just a great car , so much fun !!
Coming as a JDM for life guy, me and a lot of friends use to make fun of mustangs and stereotype it.. well, went test drive on by the dealership near my place, and if negotiations go right I’m a new stang GT owner too lol.. couldn’t be more wrong about the car and wish I test drove it earlier.. so raw and powerful and actually handled so well .. and the price tag just puts a smile on my face... just hope I dont become a crowd destroyer too lol
i have a 2006 4.0 mustang with 243,000 miles. I use it to pull a 6X10 enclosed trailer with mowing equipment all summer for my business Mustang Mowing and still runs like a dream. (I also deliver pizza with it during the winter). Buy a mustang you guys :)
I have a 2006 Mustang GT Convertible, 32K, it's my therapy car...makes the boys rumble every time I start it! I know what you mean when you constantly get a thrill out of it.
Crosses Mustang off list. Back to Corvettes, maybe Camaro if they don't have major, critical design flaws as well. I have an 06 Corolla XRS, all aftermarket, with 230,000 miles and it runs like a sewing machine, everything works.
61k on my 16 GT. -Ac evaportor went out had to pull the dash. - Intake manifild had a leak had to be replaced. - 02 sensor went bad. -driver side A arm went bad making a clunking noise. Everything was replaced under warranty. I love the car, yes its had some issues but i enjoy driving the car. I am glad i decided to get a extended warranty lol. Good vid
I'm at 71k in my 2014 GT premium track pack with a ton of little mods and its my daily driver. Over the last few months I've developed a drivetrain vibration I cant find and I hate it lol but other than that its never left me stranded. I did just have to replace my 2 piece ds for a bad carrier bearing and my clutch pedal broke at the hinge so there is slop in it now, (bc I dont skip leg day lol) but that's about it. Corsa xtremes do make a good noise in mine too, best exhaust out there.
I’m a proud owner of a 2016 GT and bought it in July 2019 with 12,400 miles on her. It’s Jan 2020, and I’m at a cautious 19,000 miles. I just want to keep her garaged, but she’s always screaming for me to take her out for a ride!!! My wife is jealous. Calls her a skank. Doesn’t like competing for attention 🤷🏻♂️
i like my 2012 mustang gt base model but i want to sell it with 97000 miles and want to get a white 2014 or white 2015 gt and dont know which one to get?
I say the same thing about my 2013 Boss 302, it’s my budget Lamborghini. This is my third mustang and I’m in love. I had a 78 mustang II, an 86 LX 5.0 notch back that I destroyed putting mods and such. I will be honest once I started modding it that’s when things started to happen. I’m really hesitant to mess around with my Boss since I had that bad experience. I do plan on just changing the full exhaust. She’s screams with the factory set up that’s quad but I had to put the corsa extremes axle backs to start. Fell free to hear her on my small RU-vid channel haha. Your stang really looks and sounds great man don’t get rid of her.
My dad has a similar story. Which is why he doesn’t like modding stuff. Anyway the aftermarket scene has exploded in such a positive way it’s hard not to mod cars. Only advice to anyone out there wanting to mod their car. “Research” have fun and be safe !!
I want to buy a used 2020 gt 24k miles and want to daily drive it do you think it is reliable? Or is it like bmw cuz they always sitting at the dealer waiting for parts is mustang like that? Do you change a lot of spare parts or is just the normal maintenance such as tires and oil????
what size wheels are you running on it? Looks Very nice! Because of your recommending the SR lowering springs I had them installed and like the way the car sits just right! I have 20x9's on the corners and have 255/35/20's
So if you had the choice, between a 2015-2017 GT5.0 or a 2010-2012 Shelby GT500, what would you go with and why? I'm a ways away from getting something new but those are the two I keep tossing around.
Colton Posey so that’s a good question, ive got my 16 and one of my good friends has an 11 gt500. Honestly, I’d still take my car, gt500 might be faster and a little more rare. But in my opinion the s550 is so much of a better car that it’s worth it
I owned a 2016 Mustang Gt with only 30k miles and as soon as it hit 30k one by one issues started popping up. My AC started blowing hot air, my hoods beautiful paint started bubbling at the edge but wasnt very noticeable and the car would shake at high speeds. I filled it with some $10 refrigerant and quickly sold it to an unknowning car dealership before all the refrigerant leaked out and used the money to buy a new Hellcat.
@@davidleca01 I don’t have a 5.0 but my buddy recently bought a 2016 and it had been a headache for him unfortunately. So far in the first month of ownership his battery died and his crank positing sensor is also giving out. I’d like to get a mustang in the future preferably a 2018 model year.
Do you have any small ticking noise when you hit about 1500 - 2000 rpm? I just got my 2019 GT Premium and it seems like when it hit that low rpm it has that noise to it. FYI, I have 220miles on my car and spoke to a dealer and apparently they said it’s a known for V8 Engine Mustang. Any thoughts?
915pilot it’s very uncommon in the 15-17 year cars, but very common in the 18-19 model year cars. Not sure how bad it is for the car or if there is any fix, but I do know a ton of people have complained to ford about it
If it sounds like a grill ticking away or a typewriter, it’s pretty common. Add a bottle of Liquid Moly Ceratec, about $20 on Amazon. Problem solved. You’ll unfortunately most likely need to replace it every oil change. Ask your dealer about the noise first, if they won’t do anything then just add the bottle. Don’t tell them about it though, it won’t hurt anything but you don’t want them to try to claim you added an unapproved detergent to the oil.
@@CoconutMigrating Thanks for the info. So I just hit my 1000 miles on my new 2019 GT and I already had to take it into the dealership because they said waterpump gasket was bad. So they got the O-Ring replaced. I noticed this because I saw my coolant being drastically lower than usual. I'm already having bad luck with Ford but hopefully things will turn around....
I think there’s another component though, mileage alone isn’t the indicator people make it out to be TIME is the ultimate killer, along with environment. So 50k in 2 years wears much better than it does over a decade. Not that that invalidates your observations at all, just an addendum
Hey bud, I recognize the area your driving in and I'm getting a 2016 gt soon and was wondering if you have any shops in the area that you would buy parts from.
iamtheburnttoast umm not really that I can think of offhand, I bought most everything online and installed it myself. Join the Houston s550 Facebook page, there is tons of post on there about different shops around houston!
George Uribe I ended up getting the 2017 metallic lightning blue. I was looking at a couple 2015s before getting mine but they were almost around the same price so I went with the newer one plus the color was so much better than the others
The title of the video says “everything that broke” and the thumbnail for the video says “throw it away” but the entire video you just talk about how great the car is…???😵💫🤪
