You happen to get a cvt transmission lawsuit paper in mail about Nissan getting sued for this cvt transmission issue? Lawsuit that would reimburse for getting it fixed, or pay for repair.

First off, who the heck is giving this video a thumbs down? What's wrong with you people? Anyways, this procedure worked on our 2015 Altima. Wanted to check if the A/C clutch was kicking in or not. Worked like a charm. I see some comments about the CVT transmission and wanted to comment that we just received a letter from Nissan in the mail (just this week, 07/2020) stating that they are extending warranty coverage on the CVT transmission to 7 years/84,000 miles. Anyone with one of these transmissions should check with Nissan before shelling out that hard earned cash for the repair. Guess something good did come out of that class action litigation after all.

Bro, I've never posted a comment on any RU-vid video before, but I had to say thanks for this one! I replaced the MAF sensor on my 2010 Versa yesterday and it made things worse than before! I followed another video tob"reset" the ECU by disconnecting the battery and stepping on the brake a few times...didn't fix my problem and the CEL stayed on...even after having the battery disconnected for an hour. Thing is, the guy in that video clowned on this one, calling it the "pedal dance". Well guess what? The "pedal dance" actually worked where his method didn't! Was about to take my car to the shop as it was un-drivable. Thanks again!

Dude thank you so much for making this! I love my Altima so much I bought my wife a matching one same color. What sucks is she’s had a bunch of problems most recently her wiper fluid pump broke :( good thing is my buddys a mechanic and can fix it for $20 with of course a tip of $100 vs. $350 they wanted at the garage lol. Thank god mine has been fine, just replaced the wipers lol.
Thanks for this video. I was able to see my transmission was slipping and it was displayed right on my stereo face. Unfortunately my car is at 66k miles just beyond the warranty so I'll need to pay $5000 bucks to replace the crappy cvt transmission. Don't buy nissan the cvt sucks and they know it.
Call Nissan .it happen to my 2013 Altima .make sure you take it to a Nissan dealer.the Nissan corporation send a brand new transmisión at no cost to me what so ever . They even pay a car rental for the five weeks my car was at the dealer..good luck
What did it say that you know that transmission was bad I did on my 2016 check engine light just came on I only on I have 36,000 miles no transmission issues when light came on only once it was not shifting into high gear it seemed I turned off and turned on and it fixed it that was like 1000 miles ago before the cel came on today..

@@ClubPenguinMaster88 but what problems does this self diagnostic fix? As far as I know it's not going 2 take off any check engine lights or fix anything. I used ot just 2 check my lights and 2 see of the ac clicked on or off. Nothing really telling. I'm just trying 2 see what's so great or how it saved money? Not a difficult question if it did save money I would like 2 know!
I have a 2011 Altima and it workd for my car too. The only difference is my check engine light came on because I don't have a screen in my car to show me the codes. But it did work in my car.
What I’m saying is you did a good job on that. Don’t worry about the engine part. It’s just that today it’s around 40 degrees. And my car won’t start but I’ll figure it out.. Thank you
Make sure if its hot out or crappy wiper blades 😂you spray windshield with glass cleaner 😅 it worked on my 2012 Nissan Altima!!! Just have leave door open on tenth time hitting switch on door jam,and have keyfob in it's holder 😂😂

My 2018 has a Warnings/No Warnings option on the dashboard screen. Is that the same thing essentially to let me know of problems, so l don't have to do all this?

I did the steps following your video, and 2016 Nissan Pathfinder did the reset and the engine light on desapeared and its not showing any warnings, my truck had P1217 for overheating, I hope it gets corrected with the reset, thanks your your video
I'm gonna try this to see if it helps with my SRS Warning Light. I'm pretty sure I'm have the Passenger Seat Sensor recall issue and don't want to take it in for diagnostic. I've heard bad stories. Thanks
So say there is a problem, does the exact problem appear on your dashboard or something? Basically what I’m asking is after the car does the diagnostic how does it go about letting you know exactly what’s wrong with it?
Will is show if the tail light will work or just the front lights? Everything works on my car except my passenger tail light. I've changed the bulbs and the harness, but it still doesn't work. Nissian told me it was the IPDM PART. I just have a hard time believing it. Do you have any advice?
Will this test give results for CVT? The reason I ask is because Nissan is saying CVT needs to replaced but took to a transmission shop for second opinion and the guy said he doesn’t think it’s the CVT. Ive heard Nissan will replace knowing that it will probably go out again and that’s why they only warranty for 1 year and 12k
HPA Heritage Professional Angler...it actually revs and jerks. Feels kind of of like a misfire would feel. If I keep foot on pedal and keep RPM’s steady it will feel like a sputter or loss of power. As soon as I release pedal or give it more gas, it comes out of sputter and drive normal again after feeling the initial jerk
I was wondering bc ours is doing the same thing about 2nd gear I pressed the pedal all the way down and it wouldn’t get past 30 and when we let off the rpms jump up to about 7500 and it almost won’t make it up no hill but when it’s in neutral it revs just fine and the rpm meter jerks from 1000 to 3000 when it’s idling

Because right now my car functions work from the inside but, it won't start, I can't depress the brake & the wheel feels stiff. I've bought a need battery to see if that could be it but not. I'm thinking it could need a new key fob due for being about 3 years old too. (I've done some research and I hope it won't be something like the CVT, hopefully it's a sensor or break switch) Thanks
Did this on my 2016 Altima last night and car felt like it was new. RPMS were on point and the CVT felt more smooth when shifting. A friend of mine told me this is a ECU reset.
I think it showed you though the light which part might have issues. I saw your PS on. Did you feed like your wheeling was stiff kinda harder than it should be??
That’s the same thing I said my car is too damn new to have anything wrong with it. And so far I’ve had to change the door lock, and now the check engine light is on. On a 2017 🤬
Worked on a 2017 Nissan Altima doing it now seeing what it comes up with because my RPMs have been fluctuating when I hit around 1200 to 2,000 RPM it would jolt up and down in the car would shake don't know what it's going to come back with but going to find out
I did this on my 2014 Nissan Altima S because I have a solid Supplemental airbag warning light on and it didn’t show any codes but the light is still on solid. It did go through the diagnostic though. Guess I gotta take it to a Nissan dealer
I tried it on Altima SL 2013 and succeeded.But the diagnosis showed nothing wrong ,whereas I did it as I have two obvious problems ;1-Since a month my car fails to start occasionally till I unplug the battery connector and reconnect it (Nissan dealer said it is a steering lock problem and needs 700$ to be repaired.2- yesterday t got Malfunction indicator lamp on my screen .So what messages can we get after performing this diagnosis ?Can somebody give examples about different diagnosis ?
It ran through the diagnostic on my 2019 Pathfinder, but did not show any codes after. Problem is, my dash has been lit up like a Christmas tree and I’m experiencing high RPMs with low power (assuming it’s the CVT). Curious if anyone else experienced a lack of codes after trying this?
Help! The self diag mode froze about halfway through the process. The lights stayed dim, I disconnected the battery and touched the cables together to reset everything, connected everything back up and the car tried to turn on but a weird sound came from the starter area or bettery. It resumed where it froze, I'm hoping it's only a drained battery. Anyone ever have this happen?
